speekers
If an Admin, Mod or Led-By locks a topic, should it tell who? Or would this result into possible flaming?
CCPD
It doesn’t matter who locked your topic. What matters is that you need to understand why it was locked and learn from it to avoid this in future. If you mean flaming towards Admin, Mod or Led-By then whoever is dumb enough to try so will be gone in the matter of minutes.
TenaciousD.
Usually last person whos a mod/led-by locked it. It happens, move on.
Raptomex
I could see definite flaming if that happened. This is a community the admins want to keep together. Doing that could turn members against specific admins. As we saw with the gang forums, over time, a split could possibly occur between the members and admins, destroying the community. That, of course, could possibly take years. I say just keep things the way they are.
Raindancer
If an Admin, Mod or Led-By locks a topic, should it tell who? Or would this result into possible flaming? What thread are you referring to. In most cases we will leave a reply when closing a thread. But sometimes if we are busy and the reason why the thread needs to be locked is obvious, we would just lock'n'leave. Vanzant
This thread and it was more than likly locked as it's really just going to turn out into a spam fest of one short rely over the next short reply.
MyMothersMySister
I locked them all. Feel free to flame me. Let's face it. Topics wouldn't be locked if they didn't warrant a locking so what's the point? Maybe it would be good if every staffer who did lock a topic, left a small note but we don't have the time always. Ye3s it would enable people to direct their question as to why it was locked but let's face it. It's not going to be unlocked anyway. It's like argueing with the ref after he makes a decision. He isn't going to change his mind is he? Messiah To The Animals #Cyclop9
Toni.Cipriani
It's like argueing with the ref after he makes a decision. He isn't going to change his mind is he? For obvious reasons. A topic would be locked for either the fact it doesnt deserve to be created, either it's been posted and talked about several time, or it crosses the rules. Your topic should fit into one of those categories.
