Of course the special edition, I love GTA and it's simply just a must. I think that most people here will most likely buy it.

Normal version, its gonna cost me probably $1000 aus on its australian release to pick up a ps3 and the game so im not gonna fork out more money than i need too.

There is no point in the special edition. Wasting extra money on things that'll just be chucked away in a corner.

I'm torn. I really want the special goodies but I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to organizing my video games. So i'll always have any series in setting date order. So; VCS, VC, SA, LCS, Advance, III...But if i get the special edition then it will be in a bigger box and it wont fit on my game rack But the regular one will and i can have it in date order.

is the special edition a fact. if so, i deff want it. the game is 60 itself, so you pay 30 for the rest.

 

a rockstar key chain (must have) $10 at least

a rockstar duffle bag (travelers envy) $30-$50

soundtrack(good for the car) $20 at least

 

getting it all PLUS IV: you already know

I saw the list of features, same game... Not worth the investment when I am most interested in the game and not fancy packaging. They have every right to market it to make money, but it lowers one's opinion of them... or does it?? It's hard to say if marketing hurt KISS I'd say

I normally just buy the standard game unless there are in-game extras (i.e. Forza 2 special edition comes with extra in-game cars, GTA IV has no in-game extras)...

 

But..

 

...As this is my favorite game series ever created I will have to buy the special edition of GTA IV.

 

Not too keen on "featuring new material from top artists". I know it is set in 2007 but I don't want new songs that I've never heard of I want proven good tunes.

Do a search on google for GTA IV Special Edition. It was announced May 21 I think. It also says that pre-orders were available immediately in the US. But I don't see where I can pre-order it? The Rockstar Warehouse seems to only let you pre-order the regular version.
