GTAModding.com Login Error

Basically, I need to log in if I ever want to contribute I just

expanded and edited something a little while back and had no problems.

I can't be certain that this edit took place prior to or after my name

change (added trademark for continuity), but I figure that bit of info

could possibly be of use? This is the gist of the error message:

 

 

Notice that I highlighted the D in the error string fed to me, I'm wondering

if the wiki is capitalizing me and missing me? I'm logged in here, so I should

be logged in there, unless the sites don't share a database.

I've just gone over to the site and i'm permantly logged in on www.gtaforums.com, yet i still needed to log in over there.

Perhaps even though they could be on the same server, seperate cookies are used for either site to remember log in info of the two seperate sites.

 

If you have cookies enabled and set your preferences to log you in automatically for each visit, it should fix the problem.

well, since you said you're not sure if it was after or before the name change, did you try it without the trademark? probably wouldn't make a difference anyway

If you've tried logging in on both versions/spellings of that name the only other thing I can think of would be clearing your cookies. One of them "gfsUserName" contains your username. Maybe there's a cookie containing your old username?

 

I don't know what else to suggest.

It looks like that shows that it was before the name change. (No TM), boy, that boils my splooge
