Chilly^
Ok, so I have installed lots of mods (usually with SAMI) and now i want the original handlings, carcols, txd etc. back. I first tried to uninstall those with SAMI, then i noticed that when i had changed the txd & dff files for same car many times, always when i uninstall particular mod, the car appears to have textures of earlier mod. Then, I thought that re-install of GTA San Andreas would work, but no. Now i even can't uninstall those mods at all. Mag-got
You should've created backups. Delete the whole SA folder, and install it yet again or find the mods and just delete them. No wait then you wouldn't have those files and it wouldn't run.. Just install it again, delete the folder first Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/279037-how-i-can-get-the-original-txds-and-dffs-back/#findComment-4251109 Share on other sites

The uninstaller won't delete any files that either 1. you edited, or 2. you created. basically you can let the uninstaller do its job, then go back and take out whatever it wouldn't by hand. Picolini
What I do is right when I first install the game is make a copy of the data and models folder. That way I can just replace whole files or parts of files when I need to with out worrying about making backups all the time. Sure it takes up almost another gig of space, but oh well, what's a gig nowadays?
