asimov
Bumpage. Am I allowed to talk about getting my Wii modded at all? By modded I mean getting a chip that overrides the area lock, letting me play games from America and such. I haven't done it, but I have like 20 games from another country that I can't play until this happens. If I don't like many of them I will probably jump ship and get a PS3 in time for GTA's launch. Imagine if they dumbed down GTA's graphics for the Wii, using the Wii controllers would probably be pretty good.

saintdave
I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on a simple query. I’m not keen on the standard control systems for the Wii but I know of a classic controller that you can buy and use, my question is will this classic control work for all games on the Wii where the nun chuck and pointer may be key such as Mario Galaxy, Zelda, etc.
Gouveia
I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on a simple query. I’m not keen on the standard control systems for the Wii but I know of a classic controller that you can buy and use, my question is will this classic control work for all games on the Wii where the nun chuck and pointer may be key such as Mario Galaxy, Zelda, etc. Well, there are only some games that are compatible with the Classic Controller, and I can only remember of Super Smash Bros Brawl. It's pretty good and bad at the same time, I prefer the Nunchuk + Wiimote combo. Also, a Exclusive GTA would be awesome. I know we already have Bully, Scarface and Driver: Parallel Lines, but GTA just can't be beaten. Also, sorry for the bump

saintdave
Thanks for the reply Vin I have a couple of further questions I wonder if you or any other Wii owner may be able to answer? Firstly is there a list of games that anywhere showing which games can and cant be played using the classic controller? Secondly is online play free? fox09
What little of it there is, is free. Nintendo kinda sucks at the whole online thing. I'm still pissed at the Brawl friend codes.
asimov
Man this topic was almost lost completely. I haven't really played my Wii at all for the last few months, until a few days ago when I got heaps of new games at "discount" price. My collection is now ridiculously big considering how often I play it. - Lego Star Wars - DBZ Tenchaichi2 & 3 - Star Wars Force Unleashed - Mario Party 8 - Mario Galaxy - Mario & sonic at the Olympics - Metroid 3 - Smash bros Brawl - Mortal Combat Armageddon - Mario kart - Madden 08 - Fifa 08 - Manhunt 2 - NBA Live 08 - Mario Strikers Football - Resident Evil 4 - Paper Mario - Resident Evil, Umbrella Chronicles - My Horse and Me (shutup) - Blazing Angels - MOH Vangaurd - Godfather Blackhand Edition - POP Rival Sword - Scarface - Metal Slug Anthology Most of them are actually really good games. The Wii is pretty underrated in my opinion. I feel that if more games gave you the option of using the "classic" Wii controller it would be heaps more sucsessful. Games like FIFA and madden are ruined by the clumsy controls of the Wiimote.
Otter
So, I got a Wii for xmas. Now, as some of y'all may know, I'm a PC Gamer. That's where I play all the hardcore games... so the Wii is actually super fun, and fills a niche for the "casual" gaming, and games I can actually play with my girlfriend. Thing is - I haven't really been following it - so I have no idea what to try out! I have a few I'd like to try first - Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart - but what else can you guys recommend? What about Wiiware or Homebrew? The ScummVM Wii engine looks awesome. Rebel
I got my mum that Ravin Rabbids or whatever its called, the TV edition one. Just played it now and I loved it. Especially liked the one where you can dance, and make the song music. All for points, and theres different kinds of modes you can play as well. Very much a family game.
