TheDude5000
It's funny reading my post from over half a year ago. I sold the thing and used the money to buy some real games. In fact I still have some store credit left over which I'm gonna use to renew my XBL Gold account.

This isn't AIM, it is getting really annoying seeing the same posters when I'm trying to read actual posts, FFS. E.A.B.
I find the WII system for kids 8 and under only. Yep, I hear that if you're over 8 it is impossible to see the game you're trying to play because it doesn't have enough guns and explosions for the eyes to recognize it, or something more sensible. LOL I guess thats the only good game it has no? Lol I guess its better than having no games, no? Now, nerd rage aside, I understand what you mean when you say "for parties". That sh*t has minigames up the ass. So much shovelware. But dammit, an entire console for kids 8 and under only? Are you serious? To be honest, most 8 year olds seem to want to play GTA and other violent games only cause they're "so mature". I hate gamers like you. "sh*ts too kiddy needs more proton lazers" Remember "fun"? You know, where you got enjoyment out of a game regardless of rating or what kind of content it had? Remember when 90% of gamers where like that and not ruining gaming with their support for unoriginal games? I don't cause I wasn't born yet, and half of that might have never happened. But the point remains, f*ck the Wii, I'm more angry about that damn "for kids" comment cause I know what you're trying to get at. or if you want to get exercised while it's cold out I'll just quote someone on this: Wii is to excersise what masturbation is to real sex
CharisL
Coming from a fanboy. Coming from a hater. On topic: WII is a good system for parties and stuff but otherwise it's useless. Super mario f*cking galaxy. LOL I guess thats the only good game it has no? Zelda Twilight Princess, another good game, I suppose because the Wii doesn't boast a lot of guns and death it's instantly seen as a kiddy console or just suitable for parties. asimov
Wii is a legit system. What makes it great is that it is able to suit the needs of non-gamers as well. I mean, some people just don't like video games, but can always pick up a Wii remote and have fun on Wii sports at least. sh*t, my grandma is seriously considering getting one. I was looking at the newest Smash Bro's, the Australian release date still hasn’t been given out, which sucks. Has anyone here had the chance to play it yet? I loved smash bros on N64 and to a lesser extent Gamecube. I'll definitely be buying it when it comes out here. And whoever said something about the light guns, all they did was make a plastic remote/numchuck holder, I haven't had the chance to use/review it with a few games (MOH, Red Steel, Resident Evil) yet but I will asap. JasonB
Coming from a fanboy. Coming from a hater. On topic: WII is a good system for parties and stuff but otherwise it's useless. Super mario f*cking galaxy. LOL I guess thats the only good game it has no? Get out troll. Your bias against the Wii is blatantly obvious, and no sensible topic requires such rubbish input. Granted the library of quality games on Wii is a bit low at the moment (so is the PS3's library mind you), but it already has amazing games on it - Metroid Prime 3 (damn the control system is amazing), Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, et cetera. Wii Sports is always fun too. And there are a bucket load of amazing games coming for the Wii (albeit third party games are still struggling along there are good ones coming, and first party titles are stupendous.) And as for the criticisms of the controls, I think the Wiimote + Nunchuk is an amazing setup. If you position the sensor bar right and don't sit at a ridiculous angle and/or too far away from it the pointing is very precise, and the motion sensing abilities lead to some interesting possibilities. What is disappointing though is that the controls havn't been properly utilised yet, most games just ask the player to perform a roughly related movement with the Wiimote to perform a preprogrammed task rather than allow the user to be interactive with the remote. Take Cooking Mama, instead of being able to properly wield a knife say it just asks you to move the Wiimote up and down; methinks you should be able to control the entirety of the movement of the knife, this would certainly make the game more challenging, interesting and fun. Imagine controls like that with a sword or a lightsaber. Edit: Also, what is it about you Nintendo haters that makes you assume that their consoles are for children? Is it because there aren't an overabundance of pitiful and crummy games that are overly violent or laden with firearms? Just so you know violence and related action != mature; in most instances it is the opposite. The Wii has equal opportunity to appeal to any age of gamer, but I would have to say right now it is still most appealing to the normal gamers. YourNeighborhoodKiller
Your bias against the Wii is blatantly obvious... You want to know who really is bias to PS3? Gamespot, honestly rating R and C 7.5 is just plain stupid. And the thing they have for "most popular" they have like 5 Xbox 360 games and only 1 or 2 of PS3 games. And thats exactly why I usually go to IGN, where they're fair for everybody.

SIP YEK NOD
If you do not have a wii, or have no intrest in the wii, stay the hell out of the topic. and quit it with this fanboy sh*t, period. don't scum up the console topics by bringing up the other consoles to laugh at them, they aren't your little fanboy cave, they are for people who enjoy gaming to discuss the consoles and the games on them. asimov
After playing galaxy for a while I can say it is a great game, but needs to be more challenging. Granted I'm only trying to get the 5 out of 6 grand stars, I just found it too easy to get where I am. But I've only got 43/121 stars in total....This could take a while. E.A.B.
How's about all of us go back to our topics on PS3 or 360, and let these Wii fanboys talk about there sh*t(even though they dont get GTA) I've always found it funny how fanboys of one console will call everyone else a fanboy It's like "My console has absolutely no fanboys whatsoever because us [console] fans are good, well meaning people and sensible while all the others suck and are lame, I think it, therefore its true you're all just fanboys for not seeing MY consoles great potential. fanboy fanboy fanboys" That's what we call a fanboy. It's kinda like how people say that those that call others gay, are just hiding their insecurities and are probably gay also. I also understand this is gtaforums, but people, GTA won't mark the "console winner" (whatever that means, they're all targeting a different audience, and if they get them, they've "won"). I might get a 360, though not for GTA (it's not that great, and it's the same formula). I hope the whole red lights thing isn't as common by then though. Anyway, I've heard good things about Killer7, so I will probably get it. If it's good, I might also buy No More Heroes. Suda 51 has cited the "violent and bizarre" film "El Topo" among the inspirations for No More Heroes, and saying the game is violent. In one interview he went so far as to say it is "as violent, or even more violent than Manhunt 2", a game that received an AO rating from the ESRB in its original form. It was recently revealed that the European version of the game will be edited and all instances of blood will be removed due to the controversies surrounding Manhunt 2, including but not limited to the unauthorized leak of the AO-rated version specifically in Europe. This action has left many European fans furious and has spawned a number a petitions with hope in changing the publisher's decision. tsk tsk, too bad. Not that it really matters anyway. BCspeed34
@SIP, yeah I have it turned on. The only way working for me right now to keep it on is sending myself email. I found some mods online I am looking into. I would like to thank whoever brought this topic up again for revitalizing my interest in the Wii. I actually played some Zelda last night and it was better than I remembered. EDIT: I know there is already a topic for it (couples with PS3 and 360), but we should post our Wii numbers in here.
