Saggy
I was wondering what sort of programs out there like AdSense there are, where I can get paid for putting ads on my site. AdSense's content policies are a little to strict for my liking, so I'm wondering what other programs are out there, as I've really not ever looked into it. Toadyd
http://www.clicksor.com http://www.adbrite.com http://publisher.yahoo.com https://adcenter.microsoft.com There are countless services, these are probably the main ones but i'm sure you could find some comparisons with others if you have a look. I have only had personal experience with Google and Max Bounty - www.maxbounty.com There are also quite a few other sites like MaxBounty, but the different between them and Cost Per Click services like yahoo, adsense and adcenter is that they work on either a cost per action or cost per sale basis, so if a user clicks on the ad they either have to sign up for whatever it may be, say a competition to win a car. Or purchase the item, say antivirus software. You can get some excellent rates for these, but then again you might get little to no interest from visitors. Depending on what the content is on your site i guess one could have a clear advantage over the other. I have always put adsense on general sites, so usually get paid virtually nothing for each click but get a few clicks just by interested visitors. If you have a specific focus for your site you might be better off with a service like MaxBounty, having your site show adverts with a clear strong link to your main content. There are a few forums that are specifically focused on making money from online advertising, but typically they've all slipped my mind right now.. i'll edit this if i remember them again soon. Like i've said theres an endless stream of companies offering what you're looking for, you should find something that will work for you with a slightly more lenient TOS somewhere.
