Etrius_Valor
I'm more of an M4 fan when it comes to SA, but I also enjoy using the pistol. Doesn't anyone have a file which will make CJ aim his pistol correctly rather than some dead-beat "thug"? I was thinking about, if this is possible, locating the pistol animation the police officers use and replace CJ's with it. But, I don't know where to look. Gaffa
So, can I just ask, do you want CJ to hold his pistol in Two hands, just like the cops do, the same as holding the silenced pistol? Well this is easy. Go to google and search for (download) something called San Andreas Ultimate Editor. Now, once installed, and the Editor is pointing to the correct installation directory of your San Andreas, we can mod the animation that the pistol takes. So open up the Editor. Along the top, you should see several tabs, labelled 'Vehicle Editor, Store Editor, Weapons Editor' etc, etc. We will be using the weapons editor. Now remember, by default, San Andreas will dual-wield the pistol when you reach Hitman level. So now you have two options... - Edit the animations for Normal and Gangster level, making the one pistol shoot in two hands. or - Edit the animations for Hitman level, making the TWO pistols, down to one pistol, shooting in two hands. But for this simple tut, lets just say your in-between 'first time firing' the pistol and Hitman level. After clicking on the 'Weapons Editor' tab in the Ultimate Editor, look at the table on the left. Double click on 'Level 1 Weapons' and then click on the Pistol. You will notice now, in the centre of the screen, a load of data, with numerics that you would probably be confused with. What we (you) are interested in is the 'Animation' under the 'Gun Information' heading. The Animation, as Level 1, should be saying 'colt45.' If you want CJ to shoot this pistol in two hands, just click on the arrow that points down, and select from the list, the animation titled 'colt_cop.' Then, in the top-right hand corner of the Editor, click SAVE, not Save as Mod. [Please note, clicking 'Save' will overwrite the data file that has just been used, in this case, weapon.dat. If you wish to keep the original data file, click Save as mod, save somewhere on the desktop (for eg) and it can be installed at any other time.To install the mod, open up the editor, and in the very top-left, click the Tools button. Now click install mod, and Browse to the item you just saved. This should install the mod.] After saving, you can now close the editor, or continue to edit the stats for Level 2 Weapons. It follows the same principle as editing the level 1 weapons. I hope this has answered your question(s) fully. Many regards, Gaffa.
