The ship dissapeared

Me like GTA

I saw that new digital screenshot from GTA IV and compared it with the old one from the trailer, where you can see a ship.

So, do you see that crane from those screens? It means that the ship has gone wow.gif

Too make sure that it is the same place, you can see the final screen from the trailer, where you can see those skyscrapers right in the place and the ship too. wow.gif

So, what do you think? sly.gif

Sorry for my bad english. blush.gif

I don't think both screenshots are from the same place

Maybe, but you can see another screen with this ship. And Broker Bridge too. And those tall buildings.

yeah they are different places

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you figure they are two different places? Clearly, in one shot you can see the skyscrapers, the bridge and the ship. Whereas the other screen shot shows the skyscrapers, the bridge, and no ship.

in one of the articles they stated that there are boats, ships etc so i def think you can drive a ship, well anyway there are alot of cruises that leave from bayonne, nj which is across the river from ny, also from ny cruises leave and there are tons of big ships that come to the ports here in nj so i assume something to do in IV will see us being able to drive these ships, just my opinion.

Yeah, I hope it will be just like that in IV. sigh.gif

To be honest I think that the ship is probably only there for the opening cutscene. A smuggling ship isn't going to hang around too long is it? It doesn't really look like you can drive it. But who knows, we might be surprised.

Yeah, who knows... biggrin.gif

Either it's just used for the opening cutscene, we can drive it, it moves to different ports on its own, or it gets blown up like in Grand Theft Auto III

Yeah, I think it moves to different ports on its own. Its too big to drive, but I hope I'm wrong. sigh.gif

A newly arrived immigrant piloting a barge in LC seems a bit fishy to me. If R* is going for the "realistic" feel by not allowing Niko to fly airplanes, what convinces you he'd be able to pilot a ship of that size? I'm not concluding he is unable to pilot it because it's difficult, I'm referring to the general thought of him being able to get that thing around legally in the waters of a metropolis.

Who knows though?, it's their game. That was just my opinion! wink.gif

Who knows... Maybe we can drive it in a sub-mission. Perhaps drive it from one port to another. biggrin.gif

It would be cool. cool.gif
