Me like GTA
I saw that new digital screenshot from GTA IV and compared it with the old one from the trailer, where you can see a ship. So, do you see that crane from those screens? It means that the ship has gone Too make sure that it is the same place, you can see the final screen from the trailer, where you can see those skyscrapers right in the place and the ship too. So, what do you think? Sorry for my bad english. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/278745-the-ship-dissapeared/ Share on other sites

And Broker Bridge too. And those tall buildings. http://gta.ag.ru/cgi-bin/s/s.cgi?gta;/i/gta4/vid027.jpg Edited May 19, 2007 by Me like GTA Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/278745-the-ship-dissapeared/#findComment-4245917 Share on other sites

columbia
yeah they are different places Forgive my ignorance, but how do you figure they are two different places? Clearly, in one shot you can see the skyscrapers, the bridge and the ship. Whereas the other screen shot shows the skyscrapers, the bridge, and no ship. Hurrikane
in one of the articles they stated that there are boats, ships etc so i def think you can drive a ship, well anyway there are alot of cruises that leave from bayonne, nj which is across the river from ny, also from ny cruises leave and there are tons of big ships that come to the ports here in nj so i assume something to do in IV will see us being able to drive these ships, just my opinion. .:Alex:.
To be honest I think that the ship is probably only there for the opening cutscene. A smuggling ship isn't going to hang around too long is it? It doesn't really look like you can drive it. But who knows, we might be surprised. Hmmm nice bike
Either it's just used for the opening cutscene, we can drive it, it moves to different ports on its own, or it gets blown up like in Grand Theft Auto III Claude94 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/278745-the-ship-dissapeared/#findComment-4245985 Share on other sites

columbia
A newly arrived immigrant piloting a barge in LC seems a bit fishy to me. If R* is going for the "realistic" feel by not allowing Niko to fly airplanes, what convinces you he'd be able to pilot a ship of that size? I'm not concluding he is unable to pilot it because it's difficult, I'm referring to the general thought of him being able to get that thing around legally in the waters of a metropolis. Who knows though?, it's their game. That was just my opinion! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/278745-the-ship-dissapeared/#findComment-4246011 Share on other sites

defibrillator
Good thing that they are probably both at different times of the day, otherwise I would have thought someone stole it. The trailer was not filmed all at once, obviously this ship moves and goes places, but it doesn't mean that you can command it. WolfenVic
I remember people seeing this a long time ago when that picture showed up in magazines. It is not the same area sorry.
