lesfleanut
So which extensions are your favorite, and what themes do you have installed. I'm running the bare minimum as far as extensions go: My theme is Noia 2.0 Basically I'm bored and want to try out some new extensions that have been proven by you guys not to f*ck up my ff. Also, Command+Shift+4+Space Bar FTW.
SWEETSAPRIK
Most of the disabled ones are redundant, as a new (and enabled) one does the same job. Some others I might use, but not often enough to keep enabled all the time. I've really just been too lazy to filter out and uninstall the ones I don't need anymore. This list was generated by the "infolister" extension. Extensions (enabled: 28, disabled: 21; total: 49) Adblock Plus 0.7.5.1 Backgroundimage Saver 0.1.2 [disabled] Bookmark Duplicate Detector 0.6.3 ChatZilla 0.9.78.1 ColorZilla 1.0 CookieSwap 0.4.8 [disabled] CountdownClock 1.4.2 DOM Inspector 1.8.1.3 [disabled] Domain Details 1.2 [disabled] Enhanced History Manager 0.5.8.05.1 Favicon Picker 2 0.3.4.1 FlashGot 0.5.98.070328 FLST 0.8.5 [disabled] Forecastfox 0.9.5.2 Free Download Manager plugin 1.0 Gmail Manager 0.5.3 [disabled] Greasemonkey 0.6.8.20070314.0 [disabled] gtafcode 0.3.1 IE Tab 1.3.2.20070404 ImageShack right-click 0.3.6 InfoLister 0.9f LoremIpsum Content Generator 0.4.3 [disabled] lori (Life-of-request info) 0.2.0.20070425 MinimizeToTray 0.0.1.2006102615+ Nightly Tester Tools 1.2.1 NoScript 1.1.4.8.070430 Platypus 0.66 [disabled] PrefBar 3.3.3 QuickRestart 1.1.0 Referrer History 1.0.3.5 [disabled] ReloadEvery 2.0 [disabled] RSS Ticker 1.9 Save Complete 0.9b6 [disabled] Screen grab! 0.93 SessionSaver .2 0.2.1.031 [disabled] Slogger 0.6.20061221 Stylish 0.4 Tab History 1.0.4 [disabled] Tab Mix Plus 0.3.5.2 Tab Sidebar 1.0.3 [disabled] Tabbrowser Preferences 1.3.1.1 [disabled] Talkback 2.0.0.3 [disabled] TinyUrl Creator 1.0.4 Tweak Network 1.1.1 UDToolbar 0.57 [disabled] UI Tweaker (Formerly Toolbar Cleanup) 1.7.0 [disabled] UnPlug 1.6.03 Web Developer 1.1.3 [disabled] z-udtool 0.6.6.7 [disabled] Unplug is for grabbing .flv files from youtube, etc. Stylish is for applying your own css to webpages. Slogger is for saving some or all of the pages (or just a log of them) you hit automatically. Either as text, xml, full html, etc. (Though saving all pages you hit as html would get pretty big.) Screengrab is for "screenshots", I like it because it can grab the whole page and not just the bit you're viewing. RSS ticker is self explanatory, feeds. NoScript blocks all javascript that you don't want running. Has whitelist, blacklist, and shows you where all the scripts on a page are coming from. Nightly Tester Tools is mostly for forcing extensions to be compatible after an update. MinimizeToTray does what it says, and I works for both Firefox and Thunderbird. IE Tab opens IE in a FireFox tab. ForecastFox is a whether thingo. Most of the rest are meh. PяopagaиdaIиc.

SWEETSAPRIK
Meh, bump. Not worth making a new topic. I recently found out that quite a few extensions that I'd previously uninstalled had left a bunch of unneeded strings in my about:config. At first I removed them from my Prefs.js file a few at a time, but then I got tired of looking for them all so I just chose to uninstall, delete the appropriate folders, then reinstall. Aside from getting rid of some unneeded extensions, a crapload of useless strings, and themes that haven't worked since before FF 1.5, it also fixed a problem I'd previously had getting FEBE to actually work. Picolini
Nut sack do you all have way too many plugins! I've got: Mouse Gestures (like right click and drag left goes back, forward goes forward, up opens new tab, down a new window, some other things) New Tab Button on Tab Bar Tab Scope (hover over tab and it pops up a preview, similar to the feature in Vista) Download Helper (allows you to download media files on sites, such as youtube videos, works pretty good) Download Statusbar (shows status in bottom left) Theme: Black JapanMAX edit: Just added "NASA Night Launch" theme, and besides the lame space shuttle picture on empty tabs, it's really cool! Toadyd
Firefox recently had a breakdown so i had to re-install and consequently lost everything. Currently i'm just using Web Developer and Unofficial Google Translate Firefox extension 1.0 (Which is a bit sh*t at the moment, but could turn into something good) I would install AdBlock+, but i'm using Safari as my main browser now and pretty much only use firefox to test things so there isn't a lot of point. SWEETSAPRIK
Firefox recently had a breakdown so i had to re-install and consequently lost everything. That's actually why I use FEBE. You can backup individual things extensions, themes, bookmarks, passwords, cookies, preferences, etc., or the entire profile. I use it for two reasons. First, uninstalling a dodgy addon sometimes leaves useless bits in the about:config that I don't want to take the time to remove from the prefs.js manually. Second, it makes synchronizing a Firefox profile across multiple PCs/logons a very simple process. I mean it would also be helpful if you had another type of problem with Firefox, but I haven't had any problems that resulted in a lost or damaged profile since before 1.5. PяopagaиdaIиc.
