Touching is good...

ok so i can buy the regular and still have all the same features as lite?

As far as I know, yeah.

But I'd recommend the DS Lite for all the reasons stated above. Plus, it's only like 140 or so dollars.

From wikipedia:

On March 2, 2006, Nintendo released the Nintendo DS Lite in Japan, a redesigned system which is slimmer and lighter with brighter screens, a longer and thicker stylus for the touch screen, an improved battery, and a relocated microphone.

It's all up to you.

I would imagine the brighter screen would be a good reason to get it over a regular DS, I remember when I bought the GB Advance and later they released the GBA Lite or whatever they called the second version which had a far superior screen brightness.

Your correct i have a ds lite and regular ds. There's no comparison the lite wins hands down when it comes to the screen brightness.

Whoo! Opera Browser released! Anybody get their hands on it yet?

i haven't, but i won't anyway. just noticed that it is for the ds lite only.

Ok, it seems there is one available for each version of the DS, which makes more sense. My misinformation came from the gamestop website where, for whatever reason, they are only selling the "Lite" version..

Epic bumpx.

Just finished playing Hotel Dusk, one of the best adventurey games I have EVER played.

f*cking fantastic, everyone should get it.

Aye, my friend raves about it. My DS died, and I can't find the charger. sad.gif

Word up

I love Kyle Hydes personality and the gruff looks he has that accompanies them. I guess you could say that I really admire him. In before gay.

In other news, one noticeable game that I've gotten since this topics death was Kirby:Canvas Curse. Kirby is a round ball and you guide him by drawing lines on the screen as he rolls across.

Been having fun with it, and theres plenty to do. Also got Phantom Hourglass, nothing more to say than "loved it, A++ would read again"

I gave my DS to my little sister last christmas because I didn't have a job and anything to give her.

I might have to steal it back for Phantom Hourglass, though.

I never tried Animal Crossing online. Anyone else here wanna try it out? How exactly does the online work, anyway? Like we can all visit each other's in-game town or something?

And if I can f*cking find Mario Kart, maybe we can have a few games of that...

EDIT: I checked it out. Apparently you can visit other people's town as long as you have their friend codes. sh*t I have my USB Wi-Fi adaptor and DS right here, who wants to give it a sh*t? Of course I have we have to get and give friends codes. That might be a pain in the ass but the online looks good. In fact it's supposed to be the most played Nintendo WFC game..

Well, the only games i have for my DS are...

-Mystery dungeon

-Pokemon pearl.

Yeah, yeah, both of them are pokemon games...Though i honestly they would come out with a gold/silver remake like firered/leafgreen being remakes of red/blue/green

Mario Kart is f*cking gone. I can't find it, ANYWHERE. I looked all over my PC area, I looked near my gaming magazines, I looked under and on and next to my bed, I looked in my closet, I even looked in my f*cking bathroom. It is MIA. One of my only DS games that I actually played, and it has disappeared into nowhere.

/rant

Anyway...anyone here actually have the Resident Evil re-make? Can anyone recommend something to fill my Mario Kart void? Doesn't have to be a racer...

Sorry for the large bump, but I've got a couple questions.

I'm planning to buy a DS Lite really soon. What I would like to know is, how does the whole online connectivity thing work? How far a distance would I be able to play other users with a DS over the internet? Is the DS Browser thing worth it?

Much appreciated. smile.gif

If you have a Wireless internet connection, you can play people all around the world.

I was thinking of bumping this thread anyhow, I need more awesome adventure games.

Hotel Dusk has to be one of my most favourite gaming experiences ever. I need more like it!

I've just started playing the second Pheonix Wright game too, any recommendations on other great adventure games?

If you have a Wireless internet connection, you can play people all around the world.

I don't have wireless, but I was looking into that Wi-Fi connector.

If I bought that, would I also be able to play with people all around the world as I would with wireless internet?

Thanks for your help thus far.

I got a DS a year ago, thought I'd be the next big thing...

Turned out, not...

Played it for two weeks, even played pokemon, but that game just get's boring quickly, all RPG's do for me anyways...

There just isn't any games out there, good enough for me...

Only got the pokemon game, and a Mario game...

I kind of dropped out of the handheld gaming loop a while ago. I suppose a DS would be fun for when you're away from a console/computer. I was considering getting a DS since I've been testing some DS games at work but I think it might be a bit late. I'll likely wait for the next generation of handhelds to see if they're worth getting.

Should i get a DS... I mean I have a PSP but it's now got cobwebs on it and I don't know when i will be playing it next, the next time i'll play it, it will only be about 10 minutes anyway before i get bored and do something. I think i may get Pokemon but is it wrong for a 20 year old man to play pokemon i haven't owned a Pokemon game since Red and Yellow (I think) So should i get a DS and Pokemon?

Found my Mario Kart. Anyway I'm gonna need to get a flash cart to just catch up on all these games I'm hearing about. Anyone else have one? Tips? Recommendations? PM if it gets too warezy to talk about on here. If you can tell me which site you bought it from so I know it's a legit site, that'd be great.

I have an R4, absolutely fantastic, and pretty much essential if you want to make the most out of your DS, to be honest. Some homebrew programs even let you browse the web and watch movies.

I grabbed mine from ebay though, so I can't help you in getting one.

Anyway, holy jesus christ and last case in Phoenix Wright 2 was intense. Completely makes up for the rest of the game (which was sub-standard).

Time to start the third game, since the 4th is coming out in a few weeks. devil.gif

Also anybody interested in puzzle-solving games, get "Professor Layton and the Curious Village" AWESOME visual style, full voice acting and plenty of puzzles. Great stuff.

Flexo Slim: Get a DS and the Phoenix Wright games. You will NOT be disappointed. I can't praise the games enough. They're essential to own if you have a DS I reckon.
