Vice: Reskinned

Vice reskinned is a little idea i thought of, Since i love texturing in GTA:VC. My idea is to remake the textures of VC. Some of my ideas to be reskinned are:

-A Totally new player

-Safehouses/main Buildings IE Malibu, Mansion Ect

-Vehicles

-Roads

Obviously, I Cannot do this by myself, Therefore i will be needing a team. If you would like to help me with this state which area you want to remake.

The team:

-Blaze~ Reskinning the safehouses

As of now, Theres only me in the team, But with a little help, It could be a great mod smile.gif

Thanks for reading and i really hope you join, I Dont want my idea to go down the drain.

But it's just TXD modifying. The only team mates you really need are google, a paint program, and TXD Workshop. You can knock out one at a time in 20 minutes each. I could see if you were re doing every single texture in the game... Or at least every ped added to that list. But this isnt a TC either, you have to remove the the city in a GTA game entirely and build a new one for something to be a total conversion, or at least make the game play stray so far from the developers' intended experience found in the SCM of the unmodded game to be considered a TC. Demarest's "Thirst For Blood" is a prime example of an old environment brought into a totally-converted experience.

What you suggest is to retexture some stuff in a game that already has a million texture mods of the same type for the same locations. What's new about it? And why would I, the typical mod enthusiast and downloader, install VC again to try it out? See what I mean? Not to mention there was not one single work in progress image shown.

I feel your pain. Believe me, I am dying to get my project rolling and find one or two people passionate about level design in GTA SA and some texture modifiers along with two or three SCM enthusiasts. My project has the back bone, it has the planning, it has the direction, it has innovative new ideas, it has gimmicks that will keep people playing throughout every beta onto a final release. It just doesn't have enough completed physical assets to show off as a recruitment topic yet. Not enough worked out.

Now, no one's going to come banging down my firewall to help me out without something that inspires them. Something that allows them to believe in my project. I have been planning and doing tests for a positive workflow on codenamed the grove for 2 years, a few months here and there unable, but 2 years. I'm finally to the point of reaping benefits for my work, the vision is becoming more possible. And on top of it, the things we can do to SA just keep expanding thanks to the enthusiasts here who create the tools we use to play in our own little sandboxes, so my work and learning just keeps getting easier, thank god. But no one is going bust down my door to help me achieve my goals if my goals arent set out and on display, implemented, and ready to be worked on. I have to be ready to lead and appoint leaders, help people with their problems on something they may be contributing, and take over abandoned tasks if it seems that holding off on them will buckset progress. To be a leader, you need some cash. And in this lovely GTA Modding area of the forums, when calling upon recruits, showing your progress is currency. Money talks...
