Five Questions...

(Pardon me if I do not use typical modder jargon, I'm still fairly new to the thing.)

 

 

I have been considering taking up moding over the summer seeing as I will have quite ample time and quite ample support (Planning on working at a datacenter. As an intern though, so my abilities might be limited to fetching beers and/or being the desingnated driver sad.gif) I have been considering comming up with a plan for a major conversion and would like to ask a few questions before I start.

 

Question 1: (About Interior Heavens)

I have been scouting out the game and the interiors and though most are obviously above the state, there are a few odd ones such as the Atrium in Los Santos that happen to have viewable peds and cars. outside the windows. Also, there are quite a few buildings that are semi-interiors that (Wang Auto's) that hapen to block out rain and other such effects. So now, is it possible to have an interior that is on the same plain as the state or am I just restricted to the heavens.

 

Question 2 and 3: (Polygon limits and Destructability)

 

As many of you know when you hit a traffic light typically all of the components of it go flying. Also, in a few missions, (Burning Desire to name.) The building in some places collaspes and falls, albight via scripted events.

 

The second question is are the individual components of destructible objects such as the traffic light individual object such as is it a single object? (or is there any way to combine or script objects together to be a larger psuedo-object.)

 

The third question is whether or not I can replicate the destructability of this object to large scales such as buildings or trees?

 

Question 4: (Concerning Properties and Customization Object)

 

Is it possible to add more properties to the existing SA map or would I need to craft a whole new map in order to add them. Same goes for other objects such as clothing, guns, etc. (Which if I remember correctly, I can't.)

I heard that the 2-player missions of SA have been ported recently to the PC, is it possible to create your own 2 or more player missions via the mission.scm? (Pardon for the error if any.)

 

I have many more questions to ask but in hopes of avoiding any n00bish stigma attached to me I will leave it as is.

yeah use Kams G\Max Script to import models in 3ds max

Yeah but only 5, if your map is big than you will need SA MAP CLEANER

No u can also use game`s models

Anyway, it is probably possible to change the location of where you start the 2player mission and the models used for Player 2, but changing the 2 Player mode itself would require some work.

This is kinda humorous if all three of us look at it.

 

Bounce was tested for a max of 2 players.

 

The built-in game missions are for 2 players.

@Master_Hitman, it would be pretty cool if you took that passion in your post and got those built in missions to work edited for your mod. I wonder if bounce, or even the other multiplayer mods would be a great way to create a new GTA that is co-op like that PS3 game that is coming out. The name escapes me and I can't be assed to google. Funny, I can be assed to type about it though tounge.gif

Thanks but I wasn't just considering Co-op, but a game similar to SA-MP in that it retains a online play but has the ability for players to group together. I don't want to scream out n00bish-ly "Z0MG teh l33test ida evar! rah.gifsuicidal.gif I'm so g0na be on it." Because I want to review over the options I am considering for the summer.
