HELP! Game Can't Load!

Hi, I just bought GTA: SA CD-Rom for my PC. Since my exams are over recently, I'm really looking forward to playing the game. However, even after I installed the game, I just can't get it to work. Here's what's happening:

1. When I click on the GTA SA shortcut on my Dekstop, there's the option to 'Send Error Report'

2. When I try to use the option 'Run As...' to start the programme, the same thing as above happens when I uncheck the 'Protect my computer and data from authorized program activity'.

3. On the other hand, when I check the 'Protect my computer....', I can enter the game, but all I get is a black screen and I have to use Task Manager to end the program because it is always not responding.

 

Here is some basic information:

(Note: I'm very inept at computing, so if the information does not match, sorry!)

What platform: PC

What version number: (Not sure)

What CPU and its speed: Mobile Intel Platinum M740J, 1733 MHz

How much RAM, what kind and what speed: (Not sure)

What video card: (Not sure)

Which version of Windows (and any service packs): Windows XP

Which DirectX version: DirectX 9 (I'm sure I've installed it, but I'm not sure whether it's working. How do I check?)

What sound card: (Not sure)

History: It's my first time to install this.

CD-Rom = Impossible Their only on DVD-Rom Drives witch I doubt you have

I finished your post if you put it in there and it installed it should have worked delete the gta.dat file and uninstall then reinstall
