TheDude5000
That show is pretty cool. heh heh heh I bought all 3 Mike Judge collection sets last summer, and the 10th Anniversary DVD as well. Great just staying up all night, watching an episode or two, and then going to sleep. I'm wondering if they'll ever get all the rights to all the music videos and release the show by seasons on DVD. I mean, they're doing it with Miami Vice...
darthYENIK
It was a great show. It used to be as controversial as GTA. I remember a kid almost burnt his house down in my neighborhood, and blamed it on that show.

Also, my favorite episodes were the big tire and when Cornholio gets shipped to Mexico.
Hmmm nice bike
It was a great show. It used to be as controversial as GTA. I remember a kid almost burnt his house down in my neighborhood, and blamed it on that show. There was once a kid who burned down his family's trailer (which killed his little sister), and the parents blamed it on Beavis and Butt-Head, yet they didn't have a cable subscription Also, Beavis and Butt-Head were great. Probably the funniest cartoon in the 90s. I wish they would put the re-runs back on and show episodes that aren't on the DVDs. Claude94

meta187
didnt the Simpsons start on MTV aswell? No, the Simpsons got it's start as 2 to 5 minute shorts on The Tracy Ulman Show (broadcast on FOX network) and looked and sounded quite a bit different than they do now. But OT, I loved the living crap out of that show and Mike Judge the creator attended highschool at the same Texas school as I did (not at the same time of course) but that's where the authenticity comes from on many things like King of the Hill. All those ridiculous, hick like characters do in fact live right here in the Lone Star State. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~

I have to say, King of the Hill is definitly one of my favorite shows of the past ten years. There is so much humor in it on so many different levels. Demarest
Beavis and Butt-head were the best. But the episodes were only a fraction of the entertainment value. The real entertainment was in the videos. Watching them rip on the video a la MST3K or get up and start "dancing" to it... Classic. I can honestly say I got a portion of my music education from that series. Until they republish those in that format, it will never be the same. And I see enough people agree with me that if they were to make that investment, it would pay off for them. I'm confused though. I remember a long time ago reading somewhere that there were like 220 episodes. I had a sh*tload on VHS and once went through and catalogued them, including which videos played in which. I could've sworn that my count had me in the law 200's and therefore only missing a couple handfulls. But wikipedia reports there being 199. *scratches head* I should probably dig those out for old time's sake.
topdogkiller
I remember the fire incident, after that they weren't allowed to say "fire" on the show anymore. Anyways it was a really good show that also paid dedications to music genres at the sametime. This show was half humor and half music, a combination you don't see on any mtv show outnow for the past 7-9 years.

Demarest
King of the Hill is the worst cartoon ever. And keep in mind that Mike Judge left Beavis and Butt-head to make that piece of crap because he was afraid South Park would stomp out Beavis and Butt-head. Actually, I'm kind of wondering what Beavis and Butt-head would've been like had they pushed the envelope the way South Park has.

Demarest
Well then leave that part of the discussion up to the people who were alive when it was all happening. Before South Park came out, there was a LOT of hooplah surrounding its coming. And for a long period of time in advance.
Jake
f*ckin' badass cartoon, I love it. Never really been much of a fan of King of the Hill. I've watched a few episodes of it and not a lot of it makes me laugh. I think just how stupid and random Beavis & Butthead were is what made the show great. King of the Hill can't even compare.
