steve-m
You have to edit the water.dat file. You'll probably need a tool as well to find out the coordinates, or use a map editor. herbie49
thanks for the help, I will try but I think it's to difficult for me. I add this lines but still no water: 1324.0 -662.0 107.63000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 1346.0 -662.0 107.63000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 1324.0 -640.0 107.63000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 1346.0 -640.0 107.63000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 0.00000 3 What is wrong with them? Aschratt
sorry for posting again but if I edit, no answer. So please somebody know what am I doing wrong? The Entries must be roundet values! (e.g. 6.630000 => 7.000000) Normaly the game should crash if the values are not roundet! I suggest KAMs Max scripts (Map IO) and Ocrams water.dat script to edit the water planes. But you also have to remember that theres a water-plane limit. (I dont know how high it is...) I suggest modelling a simple water-plane into the pool, give it some nice texture and create a empty col for it (If you want you can edit the colmap of the pool to have those splashes if you are running through the water). Just try a little bit with MAX! Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/277533-add-water-in-swimming-pool/#findComment-4244685 Share on other sites
steve-m
No, only X and Y must be rounded and multiples of 2; Z can be anything. The coordinate order seems to be correct as well. No idea what's wrong then. Either the values are wrong (wrong place, wrong height), or there's indeed a water plane limit. In this case simply remove all other lines from the file and leave only yours in for testing (but don't forget to backup the file first). If that works you know there's a limit, so you'd have to delete one of the original entries. herbie49
If I add a line it looks like this: or like this: and you can see it only if you look to the south. Also I have water in the pool but no water texture. Maybe you can see it in the second picture. If I put only my line I have water in the pool but also outside. I couldn't make a picture because it worked only one time. Maybe because I edit the .dat file with notepad.
