Firstly, the fact that the Bridge has only the Police Sheriffs and Taxis spawning is NOT good. Also, the fact that there isn't anyone in the 2 western islands... Is depressing. Also, in the dam there is a bug in the COL where you could walk over the hole thingys at the foot of the dam. The Burgers Interior in the Star Junction does not have an excuse for the fact that you can't walk into it as it spawns you at the yellow marker and sends you back. The fastfoods don't work and there are other spawning problems there: When I come into the fastfood it's empty and when I get to the kitchen and look back there are loads of people. The railway is an insult to gamers.

please just bloody remember it will be buggy and incomplete because it is only beta 4.. jeez

Well, it's too buggy to even be the base of the IV to SA mod and I am trying you know.

Wait a minute... You're gonna use someone else's mod to make your own mod? Sounds kinda... Funky. Oh well, using the GTA3 LC to make a GTA IV mod is probably stupid... Why? Since it's not the same Liberty City, wich you probably know. What you should do is try to make your own IV Liberty City, you could use the map they've made in the "Laying out Liberty City" topic in the IV forums.

Anyways, it's looking great, so keep up guys!

Hello Everyone it seems alot has happened with this topic since I left for vacation 2 months ago and it seems like alot of people are interested in this mod so since my vacationing is all done I am gonna get back into this mod and try to finish it up.

Not sure if AdTec_224 is still with this project but if he is not then I will just try to finish this myself or find some help.

I will post a list of things to at least expect in this project when it is finished.

At this point I was thinking of SA Claude but I will take either the GTA3 Claude or SA Claude whichever works better for playing and saving.

Yes in a way it will be like the LC VC with the whole Bikes, Helicopters, Propertys, etc. just with some new stuff like Planes, Parachuting, Swimming, etc. As for missions we will probably do it but eventually since missions are hard to code.

EDIT: By the way does anyone have the link to the GTASA LC Website I think I have a really old link that got closed down and rebuilt.

You could use SA Claude with GTA III Claude's head.

Edit: When I try to register on the website, the page goes white and when I try to look at a topic it does the same. sad.gif

@nosferatu5: Yes, there most likely will be purchasable properties, but it's a long down on the priority list.

The mod's main page, ie. GTASA:LC Homepage is a bit broken at the minute, I'm not sure why. I don't own or run the site, so I'm not sure of the reason. If you get a blank, ie white main page, refresh (F5) a couple of times and it should work for a while.

I myself have added mods and updates in my thread in GTASA:LC Homepage , including a fix for the train tracks, model conversions, as well as an updated mission script which includes working The Crook mission as well as working Paramedic missions (in Portland only).

As the site isn't fully working, I'll paste my stuff here (sorry to those who've seen this already):

Thought I'd release this to get started. I noticed that beta 4 is using the train paths from beta 1 for some reason ??? , so this file fixes the issue when the train would double back on itself at the station close to your GTA3 hideout.

1st Release: Track fixes v1.0 ->>>

To install:

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\data\Paths .

2. (Optional) Back up original tracks.dat file.

3. Replace with tracks.dat file provided.

Download:

http://www.keepmyfile.com/download/d3ea821701242

2nd Release: Higher Res Mod (Preview Release) ->>>

This replaces most of the generic textures, like roads, grass, etc with higher resolution textures. If your PC can do San Andreas then it should have no problem with this.

To install:

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\models .

2. Open the gta3.IMG file with an IMG Tool, such as iRipper.

3. Find gtaiii.TXD in this, and extract to somewhere, e.g. My Documents , as a backup.

4. Replace it with the gtaiii.TXD provided in the download below.

5. Save/Rebuild the gta3.IMG file and exit.

Download:

http://www.keepmyfile.com/download/fc70bf1704110

Note:

On first loading this, your game may crash when loading, it may just be a thing with Windows Vista, I haven't tested it on XP. If it does, return to the Desktop, and hit the F5 key a few times, and load it up again, and it should work. If after several times it does not work, rebuild your gta3.IMG archive and try again.

3rd Release: Admiral > Kuruma Conversion v2.0 ->>>

This converts the Admiral car model into the GTA3/LCS Kuruma car model. This was converted directly from GTA3 > SA with 3dsmax, and given a San Andreas style engine.

6th Release: GTA:LCS Ferry Signs ->>>

This is for the fans of LCS. It adds the signs present during the worker strikes. This was made from scratch with 3dsmax, the screenshots taken with my PSP. As it would tak etoo long to create individual models, these have simply been added to existing models and txd files.

9th Release: CJ > Claude (GTA3) Conversion v0.1 ->>>

This is just a sample/taster release before I go away, to see what people thought, as I'm still working on it, i.e. it will be updated. This converts CJ into the GTA3 model Claude (the main.scm included in the download is no different from beta4, it just changes the starting clothes slightly).

Wow GTAFanattic I am totally shocked all these projects I see here is really awesome I will definitly add it to my GTASA LC Folder for a future beta 5 release.

Ok for now I have been doing work with the interiors for Liberty City so besides the interiors that are in the game now I also got all of the Savehouses in the game, the props are sort of missing but I am gonna insert some yellow arrows to go to the interiors. I will be working on getting a couple more interiors in the game.

Also as for the property buying I am hoping to do that myself after I get alot of the interiors in the game then I will figure out which places to buy propertys, how much the propertys cost, and money generators.

And one more thing is alot of people have been asking about Caligula's Casino Interior the reason why I put that there is because of how there is a mafia casino in Liberty City Stories and since Caligula's is a Mafia Casino I thought I would put it together.

I would be interested in adding new textures to Liberty City. On my previous install I did a lot of re-texturing using TXDWorkshop. If you are interested in giving Liberty City a newer or older look then dont hesitate to add me to MSN. [email protected]. Thanks,

PS: I can do graphics too!

just tried ur claude out,and it didnt work

it just put the skin of claude on the legs of cj,look \/

Wow, that's kind of weird, I don't know why that's happening. It's probably because you're using San Andreas, instead of SA:LC. You need to make sure you follow the instructions I provided exactly, or it won't work, I'd had problems similar to what you're having in getting the thing to work. You need to make sure that you use all the files provied, including the mission script, or else you'll get that weird mutant CJ you some how achieved mercie_blink.gif

GTAfanattic is the meister of modding. notify.gif

Edit: I think the GTA San Andreas Banshee and Perennial should be kept because they look much better quality than GTAIII versions but the same style as GTAIII.

As I said in my post, the Claude conversion is an early release that is no where near complete, I had released it a number of weeks ago before I left for a holiday privately over at the SA:LC homepage, for people to test. I know the joints aren't quite up to scratch yet, but I will get around to it. As for eyes, and a 'San Andreas neck' (?) they will come in time -> there's no way you can expect an early release to be perfect.

As for the cars, I simply did them as there was no activity over at the SA:LC homepage, so I made them. I didn't know M57 was doing the cars, as none were posted at the SA:LC homepage. If you like my cars, download them, if you like M57's cars, download his, it's simple.

SA Neck (Claude's GTASA cutscene neck) it's prefectly round,and you can use alot of SA elements to smoothen the GTAIII Claude up
