tyuio
I've just had a new problem develop with GTA SA, following connection to a new monitor (connected via a DVI D to VGA analogue connector). The game isn't loading when I'm double clicking the game start icon. It's checking to see if there is a CD (and says there isn't one or is the wrong one as appropriate), the cursor briefly changes to the Vista CD icon and then the normal Vista circle to show that something is happening and then it reverts to the normal cursor and nothing happens. I've tried tinkering with the properties but to no avail. Any help appreciated. • What platform: PC • What CPU and its speed: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 Dual Core • How much RAM: 4096MB Corsair DDR • What video card: nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX PCI Express • Which version of Windows (and any service packs): Vista • Which DirectX version: 9.0c • What sound card: Creative XFi Xtreme Music 7.1 • History: New installation (I've reinstalled twice and it still isn't loading) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/277252-game-not-loading/ Share on other sites

tyuio
Not the same problem, as the game loaded fine before my old monitor died and I got a new one. Now it just wont load up and I suspect that it is something to do with the display, but I don't know how to fix or configure it so that it will load up. The installation is fine but nothing happens when I click the start icon. I know the DVD Rom is working as if I have the wrong disk in the drive or an empty drive a warning flashes up on screen, but nothing happens if the correct disk is in the drive. Demarest
You bumped an unrelated, two month old thread that was already satisfied to let us know you pirated the game and after making THREE topics on the subject.
