How do I get the Little Havana outfit?

Recommended Posts

Odd that the xbox version was programmed differently from the PC and PS2 version... there is no reason for this (it is a matter of map coordinates for that clothes pickup being re-written wrong)-- right after you do that mission whether done before or after the other 2 missions it should be written in the correct spot (in the doorway)-- were you ever able to get it?? I'm betting you are remembering (the mission sequence) wrong.

The physical solution works on PS2 and PC... probably a matter of controller issues on xbox as the collision data in the "shop" should be the same across all platforms too---

anyone else with xbox want to try and either back up or refute Cdub's issue with xbox...

Sorry about the double post, but I did complete those 2 missions before two bit hit and still got the glitch

It's not a glitch, it's a programming error. With a very real and finite cause. If you cannot get to the outfit, then you chose a course in your game that led to it. That doesn't say anything bad about you; A lot of people don't know about it or how to play towards not letting it happen.

I'm not too familiar with the XBox. Is the game on its hard drive? Can you look to see if you have a file on there called main.scm? If you do, and if you can send it to me, I can POSSIBLY throw in a mini-Darkpactor that would destroy the pickup and recreate it where it's supposed to be. Which if you're going to do that, you should probably try downloading the fix off my site first on the off-chance that it will work. Worse that would happen if it won't is your game won't load. At which point, you just restore YOUR main.scm. Up to you.

Well, I was able to get it before, but one day i went there and it just happened, and i read the mission sequence off of a website, i dont remember which one, but i guess they were wrong so now i cant get the suit anuj_cop.gifsuicidal.gif

If you do either "copland" or "no escape" after "two bit hit"-- the icon moves (is re-created in a different spot)-- there is no reason for it to move otherwise-- if you can "rip" the main.scm file off your disk-- Dem said he could likely check to see if the bug is there- but he can't legally fix it for you (burn you a new disk)

...I would try some variations of the "physical" solution...

Physical Solution: Get a PCJ 600 and park it in the doorway. Blow it up. Jump on top of it, face the icon, now jump toward it. It might take you a few tries - you will fall through 'grey hell' momentarily and land in front of the shop - if you hit the icon on your jump you will change clothes. This was told to me by Acidman in June 2003 - not sure if he found it.

Physical Solution: Get a helicopter and fly under Vice City into "Blue Hell". Head to the part where the clothes icon is and you'll see that the ground is not solid. Ascend a little closer to the outfit, and tilt the helicopter so that once you come out, you touch the clothes icon. You should change your clothes automatically.

Physical Solution: Get into any vehicle and place it towards the clothes icon. Type in the "Faster Gameplay" code twice. Now run alongside the wheels of the car's/bike's front so that you touch the wall simulataneously. You should fall through the map, but change clothes automatically. s00pcan & VCM80

Here's another easier physical solution that works for all platforms.

No, it won't mess up after you reload your save (I think if you get inside a vehicle and come out it fixes itself). But if you have the game for PC, you might as well use Demarest's bugfix and preventer for this Havana outfit glitch. I am assuming you're using PS2/Xbox.
