I really liked the end, where the music came into play. You had some camera issues flying through buildings also. The voice over could have used a bit more work. Background noise is prevalent throughout the intro.

EDIT: By the way, you should put some low playing music during the speaking part of the video to make it more interesting.

Other than that, I liked it! And please don't take my comments offensive, they are only constructive. Keep up the good work.

Abou the speaking part,I wanted to do exactly that you suggested, and I became very dissapointed when I wasn´t able to do it with movie maker tounge.gif

And I like your comments, they help me know what to improve,so it´s cool man,not offensive at all smile.gif

Blackadder.

Interesting Video..

Some tips for next Episode

1: Try to avoid using Footage where a Loadscreen/Location/Vehicle Text pops up, blanking out your fonts.txd will stop any text from popping up wink.gif

2: If you see the game is becoming a big LOD (As it was with the taxi) stop at some traffic lights or something, and let the game catch up wink.gif

3: Try using a joypad, so instead of him jogging (For no apparent reason) he walks instead, also try switching to Classic Controls, it will stop Tommy from walking in such a rigid way (Walking towards where the mouse is pointed)

4: If you set up vehicles, make sure they aren't damaged.

5: Instead of having him run for a long distance, just simply fade it to black near the location and then back again when he is at the location.

Also, to me, the last minute didn't make any sense. Why is he stealing cars/bikes/boats? Why does he then just ride the boat straight up the docks?

Doesn't make any logical sense to me confused.gif

After going to the hotel and having a good night's sleep, He needs to get to the "Big Boat" to pick up a package. Seems like he overslept and needed to get there FAST. So he stole a fast car to get to the marina then stole a fast boat to get to the docks. He didn't have time to try and park the boat properly, so he drove it straight into the dock.

I don't understand why he went and got a vehicle after that though. Its not even 100 yards between the dock and ship.

Remember this is constructive criticism (trying to help you improve your movie)--

I like the trailer-- and IMO you should try to utilize what made the trailer good for your episode-- what I mean is less can be more--

Example... you showed the entire drive from the airport to the hotel and really all your trips-- doing a transition where you pull away from the airport terminal and maybe head out the exit road and then a fade out (screen and music) and then arrive at the hotel would have saved about 2 minutes of the video and kept my interest more...

the trip to the marina wasn't as bad since it was shorter-- focus more on the story and I think you will keep the viewers more interested... try watching some movies with some voiceover work-- like the beginning and ending of the first Spiderman movie-- you want the voiceover/narration to give some background info/motivation but not necessarily be so literal about what you are going to do-- let him do it...

Figuring out the transition effects of your vid editing software will help this... I think you voice work and accent is perfectly fine... nobody expects your voiceover narration to be perfect-- it is good enough that it doesn't sound destracting at all to me--

Since you seem to have turned off the game sound other then the music, you should be able to edit in music easier-- I would not utilize the radio music directly either but using the raw music in the vid if you wish... if you can figure out how to "mix" the music into your vid then I would actually use the game effects sound and mix in the other music-- that way the music won't cut in and out when you exit or enter a car...

I do like the GTA SA music at the start and end... it actually seemed to fit the vid and gave a nice beginning and ending transition for the vid...

Since he is russian... consider a little classical music background at some point... the russian national anthem is actually a great tune (if you never heard it)... or some of the classical music (operetic music is ok too) on the station in GTA III and LCS...I think some of this would fit with your character.... non vocal music is better for background... I am partial to flock of seagulls tune you did use so am not complaining about that...

Overall, if this is one of your first efforts-- I think you did a pretty decent job.. as always you will get better as you do more... just be patient...

FYI-- I recently saw the documentary about the first Starwars Trilogy making "Empire of dreams" and it showed some of the raw footage/sound from Episode 4... the music and sound mixing absolutely made that movie.. was horrible when it was raw-- it gave me a new respect for George Lucas as he edited that movie (besides directing it)-- my point is the audio part of a movie is as important as the visuals...

I do wish you luck with this... I hope you take all this as a learning experience

Spuds..

Realy nice video... Well, I think, all mistakes were posted, so... Can you tell me the names of songs(exept "I run" & "Shake it Up") from the 1st episode?

The short one in the beginning is the San Andreas theme, then when I´m in the taxi it´s called "She´s a maniac",the one when I jump the dock is called "spin me right around" and then it´s "pushing to the limit"

GTA2Fanatic1112

I am a huge fan of MOVGs (movies of video games)

Would you consider letting me partake in your next episode? I have some suggestions to help you.

Also.

what the hell is up with the guy? He has a big fight in a strip club then says "I need to buy a new house" I got a plan for the next one. He blows up a skyscraper with a tank, killing hundreds. He looks back at the inferno and mutters...

"I need to make a sandwich"

Anyway holla back at me. I'm interested.

Blackadder.

Ok, watching the video (2)...

In the first minute, you didn't even bother to do tip 1 that I suggested, or even number 4.

So at night, he drives a damaged Pony to the building, then blows the building up ( I thought he didn't know any places?) which happens to be destroyed before he blows it up...then reverting to it's original state, only to be blown up again....at day time, then reverting back to night time! Then he just happens to know a Cheetah is behind that building, Drives to Pole Position, and happens to know where the "fun and relaxing" place is. Then he talks to Mikhail and drives his cheetah around, crashes into a Cabbie, and then decides he wants to drive straight into a wall. He then gets out and hits his car and complains he can't drive a stolen car (Cheetah) then sprinting (Why is he in such a rush?) to his Sabre Turbo. Now, correct me If I am wrong, but didn't he steal that Sabre Turbo in Part 1? It doesn't really make any sense... THEN he ditches his Sabre Turbo ( His favourite car) and hops in a truck, which magically has a bomb in it...

Then he steals another car (I thought he didn't like stolen cars?...) drives to Chico and then you, for some reason, decided to turn manual transmission on...then you decided not to and turned it off. Then you drove like a maniac before bailing out and killing him. Shot everyone up in the Pole Position (First hes complaining about killing innocent people, then he kills more innocent people, whilst a HUD icon lies in the middle of the screen) then stole ANOTHER car, drives around like a lunatic, then buys the Hyman condo (with text all over the screen might I add) and then steals ANOTHER car

Sorry, but if you aren't going to put any real thought into this series, then I'm not going to bother watching future episodes.

and for Episode 4, Actually try to make sense in it, and don't use the first footage you shoot only.

okay okay, thanks for the tips,I´ll try to fix some things..make it more relevant to the story..btw,the crosshair could not be removed and second, some of the footage has been "reshot" many times..so it´s not easy, but I´ll try to make it better..well I did do trip skips biggrin.gif

EDIT: He knew the place of the 1st house cause Mikhail had put a map in the car,and for the second job,he pointed out where the car with bombs were, and the night/day things aren´t that serious, just pretend that everything is happening in real time, that isnt so hard isnt it? tounge.gif

Yes, it can, look in your HUD.txd

It makes no sense though, and if it's happening in Realtime, shouldn't the time be consistant? I mean, this isn't Back To the Future...
