Removing lock-on reticule and

Hi all! I'm sure that this has been asked before but after searching through these pages and not getting the search function to work I just have to ask. I am starting to film in GTASA and I'm having a problem with the aiming tools being in the way of certain shots. What is the best way to rid myself of these while yet retaining their function. I just want them to be invisible to the camera but still be able to use them if the need arises. I looked and looked but I guess these old tired eyes missed it, so if you would be so kind as to either explain here how to do it or point me to the right thread I would be ever so happy. you could mess around memory to get that working, it ain't easy but:

0xB6F1A8 byte, will be your display croshair- just refresh it to 4 thru scm or externally- i never tested it it is static but 4=off, 53=on

you will have to search thru the marker pool and dis-activate markers that are displayed above actors. search via marker type.

So it's to my understanding that I can't get rid of that lil' bugger....man that really blows because there are shots that I need to get the desired affect and to me that sucker just ruins it. I guess an option would be to go in frame by frame and paint it out....please tell me this isn't my only option but if I have to I will.

you might still have 1 pixel of white where your crosshair was, unless youre shooting, then it disapears

 

tell me if you need sniper scope or heat seeking RL target sprites to be blanked out too

I don't need the sniper or RL, I just wish now I could get rid of those darn green arrows but as per ceedj said he believes they are hardcoded. But what you have done has helped me tremendously and I tip my hat to you. Thank you for your kindness

PLPynton Would what you're talking about eliminate the green arrows and would the lock-on still function properly? I really don't have a clue when it comes to messing with the memory address, it's far beyond my capabilities. The only modding I have experience in is with the Battlefield series and that's relatively easy using Notepad, until you get to the actual modeling and animation part. I wish I understood what you're referring to because it does sound interesting, I know I know it's the inner geek in me that finds that stuff actually fun biggrin.gif
