Why so inexpensive?

Recommended Posts

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that GTA: VCS on the PS2 platform was a mere $19.99 when it was released here in NA. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, why is that so? Might it be because we have already seen Vice City and the game is nothing new, essentially? Or is gameplay much shorter compared to previous GTA games? Any comments are welcome! moto_whistle.gif

Thats because its a straight port from the psp version. Its not a new game, its just a conversion to the console

Indeed. VCS, being produced initially for PSP, clearly did not utilize the full potential of the PS2 system as it was a straight port from the one console to another.

The "Stories" versions (LCS and VCS) cost a lot less than GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas did when they came out-I mean LCS and VCS are only $19.82 and that is for the ps2 and psp versions, where GTA 3 and Vice City were $49.82 when they came out for PS2-the PC versions of VC and III were only $9.84 when they came out. So all in all, the games have come down a lot in price since 2001. Hope this helps.

By the way, the prices listed are for the Gulfcoast Area Wal-mart, Target, and K-Mart stores.
