Your thoughts on Vice City Stories

Well, whats your thoughts on Vice City Stories? What needs Improving? Whats really bugging you?

Well, here are my thoughts on it, I think the whole Storyline needs to improve, even though it was what Rockstar made up, I think Vic shouldn't of got kicked out of the Army. My reason for that is if he didn't get kicked out, there would be more better missions based on the Army. Also the Character Clothing, I think a few of the clothes weren't as good as they should of been.

As well, the missions and the Cutscenes. I think most of the Cutscenes on the PSP version of it wasn't good. Some of the Cutscenes were based on part of the gameplay which maked it look like they weren't making any movement as they would of in the other cutscenes.

I got alot more, but what's your Thoughts on it even though it's been out for a couple of months now.

The whole Army background did indeed have the potential to produce more missions than that which were available. It seemed almost rushed his inevitable "booting" from it but it was still a good and untried part in a GTA game.

I think with the cut scenes Rockstar had to use mostly gameplay as most of the games memory was being used on the city itself. We have to remember that this hardware (PSP) compared to others is limited and many other things had precedence before cut scenes. The game was designed (originally) for the PSP and I still feel it was well made for the system, it had its flaws but there’s no doubting its overall quality.

I think Vic shouldn't of got kicked out of the Army. My reason for that is if he didn't get kicked out, there would be more better missions based on the Army.

I was thinking the same actually, well I'd perfer it if he stay in the Army for a longer period rather than getting kicked out after a couple of mission.

I agree, then the whole story would be more interesting in some apparent reason. I also think that the draw distance in the PSP version could of improved, but it was like that anyways because of them adding more stuff to the game itself. I'd just like to see a better draw distance in the PSP version of VCS.

The beginning was rushed and Vic's opinion on drugs and how it worked in the story was contradictory and confusing. These were the only areas that were weak. Oh, and turning Lance into a COMPLETE AND UTTER MORON didn't help either.

I really think the game is underestimated though. It's a lot better and much more interesting than LCS. It's a flawed, but great game.

Oh, and turning Lance into a COMPLETE AND UTTER MORON didn't help either.

Well, they probably have to do that so we can see how the Lance we know in VC progress, much like seeing how much Donald Love progress in 3 after LCS.

I think the Lance character is spot on, as you notice he's paranoid on people, even toward family, i forget what those thing's called, it also explain how Lance turn is back on Tommy in VC.

Even though the PSP release had lots of glitches, it was a new game with new and old characters. So whats not to like? Especially with the PS2 release, inexpensive and with most glitches fixed.

Lance falling out of that chopper? Vic & Lance surrounded by aggressively gay bikers? Even Umberto comes to the rescue. Umberto! To the Rescue. How could any GTA fan miss this? New types of missions. The extra content in the PS2 release make for a can't miss game.

Some people just have to find fault...

i havent played it yet but i am sure its a great game tounge.gifbiggrin.gif

Well, I suggest getting it on PS2. Trust me on this. I have the PSP version of it and it's whack. Getting it on PS2 makes the whole gameplay itself much better, especially with the Draw Distance.
