Trying to do all the side missions

The only 'mission' i've done is Luigi's girls so that I can save.

So far, I've done:

Ambulance missions

Fire Truck and vigilante missions on each island

Taxi missions

99 hidden packages

So my question is, Is it possible to get the package on the lift bridge? I tried with the dodo but I just can't fly it long enough to get up there. Is there any way without cheating?

Of course it's possible to get the package on the lift bridge, silly. You just have to wonder to yourself How do I get all the way up there? Is there anything I can use to, perhaps, get me to where I need to go? Perhaps something that could.....LIFT me?

Yes but this is before Staunton or SSV are unlocked, the bridge isn't active.

I guess you're going to have to unlock it, then.

So, no, I guess it's not possible. =(

I really need to pay more attention to sh*t.

Bartleby is going to be tasting toejam when he finds that there's a video that's been hosted on my site for the past 21 months that proves otherwise. As you watch it, take note of the fact that Fido is in his jumpsuit and grabbing the package says 1 of 100. Meaning it can literally be the first thing you do. In my opinion, this is the most challenging thing to do in GTAIII and it's not even that challenging.

People watching that video unaware of how to get to Staunton right away without cheating will enjoy the video just above it. And if you're on Staunton before it is unlocked, the porter tunnel is wide open between Staunton and SSV. At which point, two of the three Dodo's can be found at the airport.

Back to getting the package, you'll see the key is to not head straight for it. If you know how to fly the Dodo, the longer you keep your nose down and allow the plane to naturally dip and swoosh back up, the higher you'll climb. As you can see in the video, the key is to take an indirect path. I happen to like using the angled runway and immediately arch close to due south. Hit the bounceback barrier and head straight for the bridge. You should be high enough. But take whatever path gives you enough time to get up that high. If you're not sure until you get there, you can always dip under the whole bridge and circle Staunton. Whatever works for you.

Tsk, tsk, tsk, Bartleby. You shouldn't say not possible unless you know for sure wink.gif

Why eat toejam when I'm already stuffing my face with humble pie?

Well i don't know what video you're referring to but I managed to do it thanks to your tips smile.gifbiggrin.gif

first i tried going around staunton... but I got as far as hitting the callaghan bridge when i got half way round.

Then I went all the way around portland, over the stadium and i was just about high enough. I crashed (and flipped) the plane onto the lift bridge. Lucky I flipped it I guess or I don't think i'd have been able to jump up onto it to get the package.

I've never managed (or bothered to try much tounge.gif) to fly the dodo before. The most i've ever managed before is taking off from the runway and hitting one of the buildings in staunton.
