SnoopKatt
Most of the time I play GTA San Andreas, it will crash. It will give me the error "gta_sa.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". It's become very frustrating because it will sometimes crash right before I finish a mission. I have: Windows 2000 SP4 64MB Geforce FX 440 AMD Athlon XP 2200+ (overclocked to 2400) 1 Gig RAM I am also running version 1.0 of the game, and I'm hoping that I won't need to upgrade because I like playing the Multiplayer mod of this game, and I've heard that it will not work on higher versions. Thank you for any help Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276497-crashes-a-lot-for-some-reason/ Share on other sites
claustraphobic
I had the same problem with my game and what I did was I accessed "My Documents" folder where I just like everyone else supposed to have GTA San Andreas Files. Move the whole folder to a desktop or different place so that you would keep your saved game, AND simply RE-install the game. After that run the game BEFORE you touch saved game folder. Then quit the game and you have to have a new San Andreas folder in My Documents. Take your saved game folder and replace it instead of new one and run the game again and try it. SnoopKatt
Gave that a shot, and it didn't work I'm using a No-CD crack, could that affect the crashing? I suppose I could manage with putting in the DVD every time I want to play, but I'd prefer to play with no DVD.
