ATHMystikal
Hi, I have some questions. They don't belong to a single category. Q1 How to add new vehcles into GTASA( not replacing) I tried to do this by 1.added the car model and texture into the gta3.img and rebuilt the archive. 2.Edited vehcles.ide , handling.cfg, carcols.dat, and added entry in the american.gxt But the game won't start after the modification. Have i made any mistke? or should i have to do some more editing( i mean in vehcles.col or something like that) or is it not possible to add new vehcles into GTASA????? Q2 How to add Night Vertex Colors to models? I made a new building and i'm trying to add night vertx colors using 3dsmax6 and Respawn's DNAApp. The problem is that the vertex colors that i added is shown at day too. How to show it only at night. Can u please help me or give a link to a detailed tutorial Q3 How to create a breakable glass? I want to make a breakable glass pane myself (like 'carshowwin_sfsx.dff' used in 'wang cars') Q4 How to add 2DFX lighting to models. I tried exporting omni lights with the model using KAMS tools. It didn,t work. AND ONE DOUBT I found that the glass panes used in GTASA are planes.(when exported into 3DSMAX). But usually if we use plane, it can be seen only from one side. But the glass panes can be seen from both the sides(eg: carshowwin_sfsx.dff which is used in 'Wang Cars' ). I examined the col. file. It is also single sided. So How it becomes two sided in the GAME.??? But if we look the buildings from below, the floor is appearing transparent ! ! ! ! space_einstein
1. You can't add a new car into the game by just doing that. The game also has to assign the car many stuff like sounds and the type of car. You have to do more than that to get the car to work. 3. Object.dat + .ide files = breakable glass Final: One sided col is still solid on both sides. The only col that's not solid on both sides is that box-shaped col. .ide files = two sided textures (but I haven't checked to see if that worked, only saw someone did it) Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276405-5-questions/#findComment-4209862 Share on other sites

Gforce
answers to part of your post 1. not possible at this moment. 2. read THIS TOPIC for an alternative method of using NVC. 3. as space-eintstein already mentioned ........ use the object.dat file in the data folder, look for the "wglasssmash" entry in the file and copy it for your glass window/object that you want to break then add the new new entry directly below it in the breakable glass section of the file. 4. Kams scripts do not support 2DFX at all, DexX has made a max script that does work and it can be found in the Tools forum ----->2DFX Tool Topic . 5. Question 5 is missing as for double sided glass you can use a flag entry in your ide file to make the game use the single sided object as double sided. more information on IDE flags etc can be found HERE. good luck Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276405-5-questions/#findComment-4215324 Share on other sites
