Man arrested after reporting pot theft

 

A man was arrested for drug possession after telling authorities that two masked gunmen had stolen 150 pounds of marijuana from his home.

 

Hidalgo County sheriff's deputies arrived at the home near Penitas in South Texas to find the door kicked in and nearly 15 pounds of pot lying on the floor, Sheriff Lupe Trevino said.

 

Jose Guadalupe Flores, 35, escaped while the men ransacked the house but returned later and told the deputies he had been wrapping the drugs for shipment when the intruders arrived.

 

"The guy walked right up and said the drugs were his," Trevino said. "That's not the smartest move."

 

Flores, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, was charged with felony possession of marijuana at an arraignment hearing Monday. Because of his immigration status, Flores will be jailed until his case is heard.

 

Authorities were still searching for the gunmen.

I wondered... is it possible that this topic could get forwarded to some agency and they get the IPs of "stoners" and parlay the evidence to local authorities who assume an investigation which would result in the incarceration of me?

That is exactly why we deleted the last topic. What makes you think that something like this is going on? PM me with some info man.

 

 

Anyways, I honestly wouldn't worry. Smoking weed isn't technically illegal, it is being in possession of weed that is illegal and definitely the selling of it. That is why in the start of the topic, I recommended limited photos of one's self and information about things that may cause problems down the line if anything comes up. Especially, I would say, any information about selling weed.

 

So did you just "smoke" a big bowl and are paranoid and tripping out? Or something really happen? Again, hit me up in PM about it.

 

In the meantime, I want to take this moment to say that I too am only role-playing. Now it is time to go toke on my imaginary weed and imagine getting high. Since, you know, that is what we all do on here.

yes sag, while I'm pretend smoking my pretend weed I tend to like smaller bongs. I've hit out of monsters like the one posted above, but I save more weed and don't feel like I waste anything when I use small bongs. Not to mention they are much more portable. But everyone has their own likes/dislikes. No biggy.

 

Although I didn't smoke tonight, I still had a great night. Had a few drinks while studying and then went salsa dancing with a hot friend of mine, first time and surprisingly I had fun.

 

But yesterday was good as well, chilled with some friends and went to guitar center, smoked a blunt while walking the levee near by and talked about shootings we've been involved in. Ended up back at one of their places where we shot off frozen paintballs in his back yard. The f*cking gun went rogue though! Anyone seen that movie Corky? Think of the scene where he's aiming that M16 or whatever at some shack and it starts randomly firing like crazy all over the place. Thats EXACTLY what happened to us. And wild shooting frozen paintballs are not a good thing to be around lol.

 

After that we admired a ton of sharp swords and knives one of them had, and then discovered his backroom was about to explode as it filled with toxic gas and the light bulbs blew up in large clouds of smoke. Over all a good two days I say. Even better, I'm going to be getting a new guitar tomorrow! woohooooo. Add a little bud to that, and I think its going to be a good weekend, especially since my old roommate is coming to town friday. PARRRTTAAAAYYY!

I don't see why the cops would trip over some pictures. I know in other states, the pot laws are more strict, but as long as I have an ounce or less, the only thing I have to worry about it getting a ticket and getting my pot taken away.

 

But I agree, we should have like an exclusive forum or something were we can be less discreet about this.

 

@ Mar - If I were you, I'd buy a larger amount and just slang that in smaller amounts. You'd make a lot of profit. I'd also stay away from the coke business, especially for a woman (not trying to be sexist), but its a common fact that guys (especially guys who do coke) will always try to rip of girls.

A major move by one of the nation's top medical groups, they are backing medical marijuana and they want the federal government to leave doctors alone.

 

(WASHINGTON, D.C. ) - In a unanimous vote, the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association has approved a strongly worded statement supporting legal protection for patients using medical marijuana with their doctor's recommendation.

 

"This is a very large and important medical organization, it isn't some fringe group," said Bruce Mirken from the Marijuana Policy Project.

 

He told Salem-News.com, "This move debunks a lot of the nonsense from some of the anti-medical marijuana groups. They have been aggressively using false information tactics. These groups allege that there are various links between mental illness and marijuana, ignoring the fact that it is well documented that medical marijuana can be therapeutic".

 

The APA action paper, which must be approved by the APA Board of Trustees when it meets in December, notes that 12 states now have medical marijuana laws, and states, "The threat of arrest by federal agents, however, still exists. Seriously ill patients living in these states with medical marijuana recommendations from their doctors should not be subjected to the threat of punitive federal prosecution for merely attempting to alleviate the chronic pain, side effects, or symptoms associated with their conditions or resulting from their overall treatment regimens. ... [We] support protection for patients and physicians participating in state approved medical marijuana programs."
