California: The state Assembly approved Assembly Bill 2279 this week by a vote of 42-29. The measure now awaits action by the Senate. If passed, AB 2279 would protect patients from employment discrimination on the basis of their state-licensed medical cannabis use in off-work hours. Californians are strongly encouraged to contact their Senators via NORML’s online advocacy system.

Excellent. This goes contrary to what the State Supreme Court ruled on a few months ago. It will be great to see something like this get passed.

Hell yes, considering that it'll be against the law for a business to judge you based on your medical condion. The real question is if buiness's will even consider taking this seriously.

 

We can only hope it'll pass our senate to see how this works out.

It's not fully legal. From what I know, Growers still have to be discreet about their grow ops, because growing pot is still illegal in the Dam, but for some stupid reason, once the pot gets into the coffee shops, its legal. Loophole or just plain stupidity?

Once you're a medical marijuana patient, you're put into a system, which I'm sure a business can refer to it, or not. I'm not sure, maybe someone in human resources can verify. The discretion would come into place once they ask you for a mandatory drug test. What will you say? I'm a medical marijuana patient, so I can't take a drug test??

When they do the background check, doesn't that show up? I know some counties require patients to register with the sheriffs department.

Apparently, I smoked "The best weed in Milwaukee" last night, but it wasn't sh*t.

 

I mean, I was really high, but for no more than 10 minutes. The only thing that was great about it was that it was smooth as hell. Generally, when I have long smoke sessions it hurts my throat but this stuff was like a well shaved pussy. By pussy, I mean cat of course.

 

But it wasn't as great as he said it was.

Well it really varies by area. Californians have some of the highest quality bud, but what do you think would be your average THC content?

So I decided to try to make a pipe out of a carrot and it wasn't as hard, it worked pretty good. I just started by cutting it in half, then I made a hole on the side. Then I made a hole at the end with a pen cap and took all the stuff out. Not so hard as I would have thought.

I've only done it out of an apple, no other fruit or vegetable. Sounds like it would work fine, but I refuse to use aluminum foil.

Well since I only have little experience with weed, I would say that it tasted a little bit stronger than just smoking a joint or blunt. I have never tried using an apple. Although my original idea was to try to make one with an apple but I didn't have any so I just used a carrot instead.

Last time my friend made a pipe out of the bottom part of a pen, you know the thing that you get if you take apart a pen, so he put the weed in it and was trying to light it, but it was hard and when he finally did it he inhaled some smoke from the plastic. We could tell because the burned plastic smell stank the whole car. So next day we started making fun of him and telling him that he got high by inhaling the plastic smoke.

Carrots taste like styrofoam(sp?) to me. But a could imagine using one for a makeshyft pipe would be great. Better than an apple I suppose....minus the taste.
