Jack Herer is the emperor of hemp as they call him. Progress nationwide, like the win in Denver is great, as a start. It's not like the State and Federal government aren't going to overrule that, which is a shame. Seeing the DEA raid medicinal dispenseries in places like California really bugs me, it's essentially stripping away the state's rights and sovereignty (which there should be more of in America). Meanwhile we intimidate other countries world wide for trying to be progressive as far as drug law goes.

 

But f*ck all that sh*t I say, I'm my own person, the government can kiss my ass and I'll down 20mg of valium and another 10 of hydrocodone and smoke a bowl of weed to that... right now.

But nah, I completely agree. It's amazing how long the aftereffects of propaganda from the early 20th century are affecting policy in our lifetimes. So many people still have poor education on the matter, or completely misunderstand marijuana and its effects in a negative light.

The only problems with weed being legalised is that the cannabis dealers would be put out of business and probably move onto selling heavier sh*t. But to be honest i dont feel that is much of a problem because dealers will probably do better sacks of bud for their customers and go out there way to get amsterdam weed and thai bud.

 

Weed should be legal, for example look at amsterdam lowest drug crime's and stuff in the world.

Ive been stoned virtually all weekend, good thing about weed is it brings old friends back together.

 

This brings me to a question where do you enjoy blazing the most?, do you have a certain place that you just love to chill and smoke out or one of those places where a really funny thing happened when you and your dudes where stoned?

 

For me i have a favorite place, firstly its called St Gregs alleyway, not much wind gets to it during the winter so its good for rolling joints. Some pretty funny things have happened during my times blazing there, friends going on whiteys, beatboxing competitions, and me and my friend doms rick james freestyle. I think it has a certain aspect of rebellion to it purely because its right next to my primary school, i practically grew up in the school and now i smoke up all the area around it.

I had Hydro this weekend, my friend hooked me up he knew this guy from out of town. We had about 5 bowls of the stuff, we were playing "football" ever played? It got me high as f*ck. We were all smoking with this other kid and it was his first time ever smoking, and it was on some hydro, lol it was hilarious he was happy and laughing, but then he started freaking out, he juss got real scared thinking he was going to get addicted, but then he forgot about it. He started growling, and kept trying to bite us too, like he was a zombie. It kinda freaked me out to be honest. lol

I have some terrible news to report.

 

So last night I got off work around 12:30 and since it was Saturday night (or Sunday morning whatever) a few of my friends who didn't go out were chilling and drinking. So I had drinks and we played drinking games and whatnot until my other friends got back from going out. Then we all baked a car and went back to the dorm to chill. So around 2:30 a cop shows up at the door and says he can smell marijuana in the hallway. Then they radio in a second cop and start their routine. They radio in that they need a transport for all five of us. At first my friend denies them permission to search the room and the cop bulls some major bullsh*t on him. He tells him that either he voluntarily lets him search the room and anything he finds my friend can take responsibility for and not let anyone else get in trouble. Or he says he can detain us all until he gets a search warrant and pin it on everyone (even his roommate who wasn't there). So my friend asks to call his dad or lawyer to make sure that it was okay for him to let them search the room. The cop says he can't call his dad or lawyer. So then he just lets them search. While they search he stays in the room and the rest of us go into the hall where the second cop is. Our RAs are there and they document everything so we still get busted with the school. The second cop gives us a sobriety test and pats us down. Then they arrest my friend and let us go after a speech.

 

They never read him his Miranda Rights. He never got to call his dad or his lawyer. They charged him with 4 counts of paraphernalia, possession, drug abuse, underage consumption of alcohol and underage possession of alcohol. They dropped the felony intent to distribute (scale and baggies) charge because he cooperated and said he does not sell. Regardless, I believe a lot of what happened was illegal on the police officer's end. Especially never reading the rights and not allowing him to call an attorney. But anyway, now I have to deal with sh*t from the school. f*ck me.

My friend who got arrested is okay now, I guess. I mean as okay as you can be after getting arrested. He's really rich so I know he's getting an excellent lawyer. I think his biggest problem is going to be owning up to his parents.

I was arrested last year for possesion, just a J's worth so it was a night in the cell and a slap on the wrist but they seem to have pinned your mate with several Charges.

 

It does seem illegal though to not read his rights or give him a phone call. I got a phone call...

They never read him his Miranda Rights. He never got to call his dad or his lawyer. They charged him with 4 counts of paraphernalia, possession, drug abuse, underage consumption of alcohol and underage possession of alcohol. Maybe it's just here in New York, but for us, if a cop doesn't read you your rights and let you call whomever you damn-well-please (assuming they haven't yet arrested you. You are technically a free man until you're in cuffs and you can call whomever you want. Once you're cuffed, you get 1 phone call. Most cops will let you call both a lawyer and a parent), then THEY can be prosecuted for unlawful search, unlawful arrest, and harassment.

You should do some homework on this and definitely talk to any law-school buddies you have... you might actually have a case against the cops themselves.

 

The problem is that most cops are educated under our country's convoluted, bullsh*t perception of marijuana.

They end up thinking that its perfectly ok to treat a few buddies smokin' up and watching TV as if they're running a crack den out of a church basement.

 

The police aren't the problem. Misinformation is. I have several cops in my family. They're not out to change the world. They're not out to be heroes. They're just guys who are trying to make a living.

Some, however, are assholes. Can't win 'em all.

I got busted once, they called my parents, gave me a fine and a court date, and when I went to court I had to go to anger management classes every Thursday for 2 months(wtf?), and I had to take a drug abuse course every Wednesday for 2 months, and they gave me piss tests every 2 weeks. After that was all done I had to get A's & B's and not get in any trouble at school for a month or I got to go to Jail for a year.

 

It was some bullsh*t, worst 2 months of my life, I hate when people think im at the lowest of low in society because I smoke weed, And I hate it when people try to tell me how to live my life correctly.

Alright like I said my friend is extremely wealthy so I know his lawyers is going to have a field day with this. I just talked to my friend and he was cuffed, taken to the station, put in a cell, had his prints/picture taken and had to sign paperwork. He was for sure arrested, never read his Miranda rights and never was allowed to call his parents or a lawyer.

 

He said that his dad might fly an attorney out from Connecticut just for this so we'll see.

Just one question for you foreign lot; what is the percentage of teenagers (13-19) that smoke weed regularly? I am talking about Britain, US, Canada, etc. Over here, 1 in 7 teens smoke weed regularly. Is this alarming? Or hardly anything compared to over there.

 

I am asking this for my sake, and also because for school we have to right up an 800 word essay about risk-taking and it's effects.
