Mass dudness.

 

Just got back home from a party at like 11 o'clock; left home at 9:30. Was only there for about a half an hour, the other hour was made up of public transport and walking. It sucked because I was the only c*nt there not drinking... don't ya hate that. Could've been alright if I was getting pissed with everybody else though.

 

Got f*cked up the night before though. Just was chilling out with a few good mates at one of their's house having a few brews. Wasn't initially gonna smoke, but after the bag arrived I was convinced. Was feeling fine after the few beers I drank, but after the bud... damn. It felt like I'd tripled the amount of beers I drank. Woke up with a mass headache the next day (today), and that's why I decided not to drink if I was gonna go out. Should've saved my money for tonight instead... oh well.

That blows. I tried to stop smoking weed once. I lasted maybe 3 hours.

It's nearing 6 months for me.

I could care less because I've got other things to occupy my time.

 

But I do miss weed quite a bit.

Cubans are more or less all I've been smoking for like 2 months now.

f*ck, wish I had a smoke right now but I'm fresh out.

They've got a distinctive taste and once you get used to 'em its hard to smoke anything else.

 

Hell I spent most of today driving around doing whatever errands were left, should've gotten a cigar from the store but I didn't think to... f*ck.

 

Thinkin' 'bout tokin' up for the first time in 6 months this week, though.

Doctors group backs marijuana for medical uses

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A leading U.S. doctors group has endorsed using marijuana for medical purposes, urging the government to roll back a prohibition on using it to treat patients and supporting studies into its medical applications.

 

The American College of Physicians, the second-largest doctors group in the United States, issued a policy statement on medical marijuana this week after it was approved by its governing body, the group said on Friday.

 

The group cited evidence that marijuana is valuable in treating severe weight loss associated with AIDS, and nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy in cancer patients.

 

"Additional research is needed to clarify marijuana's therapeutic properties and determine standard and optimal doses and routes of delivery. Unfortunately, research expansion has been hindered by a complicated federal approval process, limited availability of research-grade marijuana and the debate over legalization," the group said.

 

The Philadelphia-based group, founded in 1915, is made up of 124,000 doctors who treat adults.

 

"The richness of modern medicine is to carefully evaluate new treatments. Marijuana has been in a special category because of, I suppose, its abuses and other concerns," Dr. David Dale, the group's president and a University of Washington professor of medicine, said in a phone interview.

 

'SCIENCE SHOULD BE KEPT OPEN'

 

David Murray, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy's chief scientist, said, "The science should be kept open. There should be more research. We should continue to investigate."

 

The policy statement said, "ACP encourages the use of nonsmoked forms of THC (the main psychoactive element in marijuana) that have proven therapeutic value." It also backed research into additional therapeutic uses of marijuana.

 

The government should review marijuana's status as a so-called schedule I controlled substance, alongside such drugs as LSD and heroin, given scientific evidence of its safety and efficacy for some medical conditions, the doctors group said.

 

It called for exempting doctors who prescribe or dispense medical marijuana in accordance with state law from federal criminal prosecution and other actions. It also urged protection from criminal penalties for patients who use medical marijuana as permitted under state laws.

 

A dozen states have laws allowing the use of marijuana for medical purposes. But supporters of medical marijuana accuse the federal government of undermining those state laws by having Drug Enforcement Administration agents raid medical marijuana providers.

 

Rob Kampia, executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project, which urges legal and regulated sales of marijuana, said, "This statement by America's second-largest doctors group demolishes the myth that the medical community doesn't support medical marijuana."

 

"The ACP's statement smashes a number of other myths, including the claims that adequate substitutes are available or that marijuana is unsafe for medical use," Kampia added.

1. It is illegal to import them from Cuba. Now, buying and selling them, AFAIK, is legal, although frowned upon.

2. There's not really a definitve way to tell whether a cigar is cuban or now from looking at it.

Well that is where the difference is. Weed can be grown here. Cubans have to be imported. lol. And I just can't see some Cuban smugglers racing in a speedboat away from the Coast Guard with a boat full of cuban cigars.

 

I always assumed they were smuggled through in very small quantities and really weren't sold in large amounts commercially in the states. Everyone I know who had them either smuggled them in themselves into the country or got it from someone else who did the same thing with a few cigars. Never a whole crate of them or anything. haha

I have a real cuban cigar my sisters bought me when she went there on a contiki tour.

I decided to test myself if I could not smoke for 2 months. I'm 2 weeks in and I'm going nuts, so many days sitting around doing nothing fiending for some bud, and what make it even worse is that I have an eighth in my cupboard just sitting there all alone.

Yeah that's how most people get 'em.

There ARE people who import them in mass quantities to re-sell, though.

Most people "de-band" them, meaning they take the little logo the makes put on them off the cigars so that customs will believe they're just regular cigars. Of course, this really doesn't fool customs, but nobody actually gives a sh*t. There are also alot of websites where you can buy Cubans. Might give one of those a try.

I advise you sell it to someone, or in individual bags so you can make some profit... and go spend that money on some random sh*t... that should take your mind off it for a while.

 

About cigars:

Cuban's are well known, but I've heard Peruvians are similar... maybe get some of them; I never heard about Peruvian cigars being illegal (let alone Cuban cigars even).

Thats actually a brilliant idea, imagine that put the patients in a room full of food and give them all weed.

Me and my mates were sitting in the car in the middle of a pineforrest and were having a pretty odd conversation about if we had a big air shooting device that writes stuff in the clouds and about what we'd write in the clouds if we could (cut me some slack, was baked as). I was thinking something along the lines of "God hates pants". What would you fellas write in the clouds with my 'patented precision air shooting cloud writer'?

 

And speaking of munchies, I consumed 4 ham and pineapple pizza pockets and 4 bits of "top taste brand mudcake" (which I thoroughly reccomend to the aussie stoners btw) I dont think ive ever satisfied the munchies that well in years. Awesome.
