Mister Zero
Anyone still play this classic? I remember making a family of 8 people, totally contrasting personalities and turning free will on. Man, it was chaos... well, as chaotic as a house in The Sims can be anyroad. Lately I've just been making a man/woman and trying to them a job, pet, partner and stuff, rags to riches as it should be. I have all the expansion packs, so I'm pretty much kitted out with everything from alarm clocks to zebra skin rugs. Any GTAF goers play The Sims? GTAThomas
The Sims was the first computer game I had (2001?). Since then I got every expansion pack. I stopped after getting the Pets expantion for The Sims 2. Now it's boring. Cran.
I love the Sims. I've been meaning to reinstall Sims 2 and play it! All Sims games on consoles are awkward and horrible. Somethings just don't work on consoles, and Sims is just that. It's like Chocolate topping on steak. Sounds good on paper.. GTA3Freak-2001
Yeah its a fun game, I am not that into the actual sim side of things I really prefer building houses instead and with the huge modification scene that Sims 2 has its even better. gillies
I used to play the sims 2 a bit when it was new. It is too easy so the only thing I did was build up the ultimate society of nuclear families where everyone was totally successful. The first expansion took it in the wrong direction by making their already empty lives even longer, so after that I stopped playing. spyro_ie
What usually happens to me with The Sims 2 is that I start a new family and then they get to the top of the ladder in their career, then I get bored. Its seems every few months or so I am compelled to play it again. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276279-the-sims/#findComment-4208060 Share on other sites

Same, I hated the managing family part of the game. I prefered throwing in a couple of money cheats and build to my hearts desire. Made some cool as f*ck looking houses too. Long Haired Freaky Guy
The only problem I found with building your house however you wanted was the fact that there was a limit to how much you could buy for it. The Sims is great, but the Urbz was absolutely terrible. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276279-the-sims/#findComment-4208653 Share on other sites

Hmmm nice bike
Yeah its a fun game, I am not that into the actual sim side of things I really prefer building houses instead and with the huge modification scene that Sims 2 has its even better. I got the Sims on the Gamecube, thinking it would be the same as the PC, but it's not! The stuff I didn't like: Do the "Get A Life" where you have to manage a family It was hard to keep the sim happy They lied about multiplayer You could only build a one-story house Got pretty hard (for me) on the second house in "Get A Life" mode (the damn sim just wasn't happy, EVER! No matter what I did!) You had a limit on how much you can buy or build It needed ALOT of space on the memory card Like Cran. said: Some things don't work on consoles, and Sims is one of them. I do like Sims 2, I make GTA charectes and put them all in one neighborhood. A Niko sim is the newest in the neighborhood! The only problem I had with the GTA charecters is that Claude talks I remember when I first bought the game when it was brand new, just when it went on GameStop's shelf. I played forever, until I stopped since my computer crashed while playing, and it almost ruined my computer! Some things I didn't like about Sims 2 were: Sims could only live for, like, a week or two (real time), and that was it! In the past sims, they could live forever (providing you took care of them properly) My PC was only a few months old, with all the requirments, yet the game ran slower than hell! It would lag alot, and loading took 10 minutes! After making a Drew Carey sim, the game froze while loading! They said it would be more realistic, but there were aliens and the Grim Reaper, as well as cowplants that can eat people and werewolves in expansion packs. Also, they make too many expansion packs! We waste money for the same game, and it just includes a new wallpapaper or painting. That's like if they made the GTA IV expansion packs just a new ped! Moth
I don't play The Sims 1 because i started when there was only a year before The Sims2 came out. I love playing The Sims 2 but i mostly just build house that are so expensive in the game that my sims can't buy them without cheats. Once in awhile i do play with the family part but it is so slow on my computer. I am even surprise that it works on it while it doesn't work on my newer computer but the computer that i use for The Sims2 could not run The Sims 1 so i find that it's strange. I also have every expension pack for The Sims2 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276279-the-sims/#findComment-4209188 Share on other sites
GTAThomas
Bump! A few days ago, I bought The Sims (1) for my dad. It was the Complete Collection because I don't have all the serial numbers to the ones I bought over the past 6 years. I'm having some difficulty remembering things about the Makin' Magic expansion pack. Maybe some of you can help me. I vaugly remember being able to make my sim teleport intead of "Go Here". When and how do I get this again? Edited May 12, 2007 by GTAThomas Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276279-the-sims/#findComment-4233925 Share on other sites
