Coral_City
Hey man, are you going to continue the story about the Yardies? Or is that gone, 'cause I really enjoyed that story. As for this, this is great. I'm really enjoying it; I haven't read the full story yet, but I've read the first two chapters so far. Don't worry; I'll be sure to get around and read the next ones soon. Keep it up. Thanks for the comments, nice to know someone's reading it And, unfortunately, the story about the Yardies is discontinued -- simply because I didn't think about the plot enough. I was going to write chapter, after chapter, of nonsensical garbage. So, I decided against it and left it where it was. If anything, expect a rewrite if I were to go back to it. Stefan.
OK then, fair enough. If there is a rewrite, expect me to read it.
Coral_City
Okay, to whoever is reading the story, expect an update later today. I've finished up The Smile, Part II and Chapter 9 is completed. I'm not posting it, yet, due to lack of readers, so I'll wait around for a few more days (or weeks). I've finally gotten around to laying out the story, and it'll turn out to be finished on the 13th chapter (or 14th, depending if I wanna change things). Be back in a few hours Edit: And please do take a look at the front page -- I've included a table to set out the chapters and updates. Coral_City
Chapter 8: The Smile, Part II "The gun just clicked," said the dirty blonde haired man, "so, I grabs this gun on the ground... and shot him -- it was like instinct, y'know?" "Heroic words from a heroic man. If you're just tuning in -- we are reporting, to you, probably the most shocking incident to occur in Liberty City in weeks. Since the Cochrane Dam shootout, the city that was notorious for gang crime, drug peddling and other smut has seen crime actually receding. However, this was short lived, when tonight, a gang shootout broke out. Alleged mobsters, Vincent Rizzuto and Paul Romero -- both with connections with the Leone Crime Family -- and an unknown man, were found either dead and heavily injured at the bloody scene. The lone survivor of the shootout is Vincent Rizzuto, who is in stable condition, but is expected to be taken into custody later tomorrow. A dozen other people, who were brutally trampled upon, are expected not to survive and loved ones are being called in to set up funeral arrangements. Amidst all the violence at the airport, however, Danny Waterman, a resident of Hepburn Heights, is being hailed a hero tonight. The unidentified shooter, was shot and killed when Danny's quick thinking came into play -- saving a countless number of innocent lives. He is expected to receive a Citation of Merit, handed by Mayor O'Donovan in the coming week. Expect further developments, and possibly a word from Police Chief Antonio Ruggerio. We will now go to break, and stay with this story for the rest of the night" Diane Lane of the Liberty City Late Night News was reporting the incident that occurred only an hour earlier at Francis International Airport. It was true that Paulie, loyal soldato and captain to the Leone Family, was fatally shot five times. Vinny, on the other hand, was left with no defense, and as such, Claude decided to torture the man before fleeing the city. However, what he didn't realize -- essentially killed him. A shot was fired, but hit nothing. Another shot was fired, and hit Vinny in the arm, wounding him. Two bullets crushed Paulie's face, and the killer left three more lodged in his esophagus. And finally, a pair of bullets tore through Vinny's hamstrings, leaving him more vulnerable than before. As Claude, the killer with the cynical smile, stood over Vinny, barrel pointed directly at his forehead, going for the kill -- the gun simply clicked. His folly was being overconfident and forgetting to reload. Over and over again, Claude pulled the trigger, only to hear the erroneous sound of the click. The wounded mobster looked above and smirked. If he were to die, he was glad his killer fouled up. Suddenly, two loud bangs were heard echoing in the somewhat vacant airport and Claude fell over onto his back, laying still. Vinny Rizzuto, looked over on his side and seen a man holding his revolver, dripping in blood. The mobster responsible for the murder of twelve men, sighed in relief, as some nobody saved his life. The man stood trembling in fear, though, even he realized the shootout was over. It was the last thing Vincent seen before passing out, unconscious, from loss of blood. Oxidizer
The killer with the cynical smile - I dunno why but I really like that line! Excellent stuff, my man. Now I'm feeling all nostalgic and in the mood to play GTA3. Only problem is, I'm shattered. Update again soon, dudeio.
