Anyways if this helps anyone i have uploaded my pspbtcnf_game_dh.txt with the vcs cheatdevice line included

if you want to use the lcs cheatdevice just change the bit that says

 

ms0:/dh/kd/vcscheatdevice.prx

 

to

 

ms0:/dh/kd/whateveryourcheatdeviceiscalled.prx

Hi guys! I'm having trouble loading a GTA ISO.... everythings exactly how you've said, triple-checked, but when 3.03 boots up, I can't run the ISO.

 

EDIT: Dear god... I forgot to have a UMD in the drive.

" ok heres my issue i get to the point where i run the psar dump but it comes up and says game could not be started... also the second file on the memory card comes up as a corrupt file... i dont know if that changes after you get the through the dump or not.... but why is it coming up and saying that the game could no be started...im running fw 3.40 "

 

the only difference is that im actully running fw 3.40 OE-A

Anyways, when im playing GTA LCS and VCS using devhook there is no sound. Is this supposed to be like this? is there a way to put sound back in it? Its not a big deal if you cant.

If you enable either of the two cheat devices and any other plugin (i.e the other cheat device) there will be no sound, and the home, volume down, volume up, screen brightness and sound buttons will not work. I do not know why. Now I have written a guide, like this one, telling you how to run cheat device on custom firmwares above 3.03 OE-C, however mine is much simpler and easier to follow, and tells you how you can use both cheat devices on the go without disabling a lot of your PSPs features. yes this method works for 3.51 and 3.52 m33.

Sony 3.51? Or custom firmware 3.51? If custom firmware, follow my guide I posted 4 posts up, if Sony firmware, you'll have to wait for a downgrader, and if so you should watch this site: http://pspupdates.qj.net as it has all the PSP news and if you keep checking that will find out out about a 3.51 downgrader as soon as, if, it comes out.

i said 3.51 and 3.52 M33. its pretty obvious that it wouldnt be the official due to the fact that you cant run homebrew on it

WOW , nothing seems to work for me =/ not your guide either, the message " The game could not be started comes up again after trying to run " Devhook Firmware installer" =/ what is the problem dammt, a corrupt file comes up again!

Hey I just wanted To add. Not Only does this work with 3.40 OE. but i tried it with the new Wildcard Teams 3.40* LE v3 and it works like a beaut. so not only the makings of Great Custom Firmware but Cheatdevice on LCS and VCS as well.

 

 

And it was all possible thanks to great people like Dark_Alex, EdisonCarter and the wildcard team etc. Now Who shall we award the Nobel Prize in Hacking to?

I'm running Cheat Device for Vice City Stories, and it works fine through DevHook, but for some reason if I try to istall the Liberty City Stories Cheat Device, both Games just crash when I load them! Is there any way to play with both without activating flash and changing the prx's and config files each time???

I finally got this thing up and running (well, DevHook at least) but...it won't run the game, I set it to run from File Emulation or whatever the option is and I selected the game, which is correctly selected when I click the 'home' button, but it just....doesn't run!!!!!!!!! how do I make it run? I'm on CFW 3.40OE-A by the way, also....the file is a .cso file, does that make a difference?

i cant get psardumper to work. i start it but all that happens is that it is a black screen and it shuts off. y does this happen.??

when i load up the umd (or any umd) it turns of my psp ?

when i delete the 'ms0:/dh/kd/vcscheatdivice.prx' line, it still turns of my psp

 

it allways get stuck when the 'psp' gameboot comes on my screen

 

fw= 3.52 m33-4

•Go down to "UMD SELECT", then "File Emulation" to select your GTA ISO, or "UMD Disc" to select

your GTA UMD.

•Go down to "FIRMWARE" and select "firmware 3.03(MS or flash+MS)".

•Then select "START DEVHOOK" and start up the GTA ISO or UMD.

 

I'm on 3.52 M33 and cheatdevice 1.0f. I have followed all the above procedures. But when I tried to run DEVHOOK and reboot. The screen said "reboot system" and turned black while the power light was still green. Now I have to remove the battery.

 

What should I do to run cheatdevice??
