Exactly, the whole thing regarding flying in the game was probably planned out. In the magazine they say there's no planes, leaving people wonder if there might be other aerial vehicles, and then R* let Game Informer reveal it later on through a Q&A that there is in fact flying, just not with planes.

 

This gives us a good insight of how some previews are handled, at the end of the day both parties are doing a good thing, they're not out to screw you over.

The previewer needs to be clear who said there were no planes.

 

Also, he only said there were no planes. He didnt say there is no flying.

 

But somehow I dont know what to think about the helicopters. Why didnt they say about the helicopters in the preview?

I believe they didn't mention helicopters just to rise speculation about them. But that is beyond me. I am glad we were even lucky enough to get some sort of preview this early. There is still about sixth months or so until this game comes out and to expect so much more this early would be wishful thinking at its worst.

Personally i dont think the game informer mag was enuff, but hey, if they told us everything then why would i be here posting, or why would i download the trailer. Sumtimes u have to withhold info to keep anticipation up and i think its genius the way r* is doing this.

Yes and every "detail" doesn't have to be spilled within few months of release. To keep the anticipation high, I'd give out details spanning a few months just like Rockstar is doing right now.

 

And be grateful for what you've seen so far, as it will only get better as the release date nears.
