makeshyft
Please tell me what he does to look and sound homophobic. Seriously, I have no idea what you're on about. Hellisan
Like the first reply, I have no idea what you mean. Fruit loop and homophobe are mutually exclusive, if I understand them correctly. Rob.
To me, he matured loads across the 3 years to GTA3. However, he was voiced by a different person, who gave his own style to Donald's character. makeshyft
Yeah, the voice adds a lot to Love's persona in III. He seems so in charge, and collected. I'm still waiting on a response to my initial question. I'm starting to think the poster has no idea what 'homophobic' means. saintdave
Maybe he meant due to the different voice actors the Donald Love from LCS sounded slightly "camp" compared to the one in GTA 3 (3 years later). As Rob said though both actors have their own distinctive versions of the part but the character himself is as far as we know not gay. The only character traights that have been touched on are the possibility he is a necrophiliac and a canibal. makeshyft
... No. Homophobia is the fear/dislike of gay people. Hence: phobia. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276068-donald-love/#findComment-4205650 Share on other sites
edscoble
i believe so, homophobic means gay. Well from what I understood you meant to says 'homosexual', not realising the homophobia is an entirely different thing. Mr Benz
They are right, Homophobia is a fear of gays, usually expressed by anger/violence due to the fact that the homophobe has serious issues with their own sexuality. Donald is a cannible with necrophiliac tendencies. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/276068-donald-love/#findComment-4205758 Share on other sites

Brenteus Maximus
I don't think LCS Donald is intended to be gay at all. He is a necrophiliac, which has nothing to do with him being gay or straight as the root of this... "preference" has more of a basis in power and domination being the means of sexual release as opposed to sexual release being based on the gender of the "partner". Yes I watch too much "Criminal Minds" lol. Still, i think LCS Donald is a natural progression between the nerdy intern we saw in VC and the confident, powerful businessman of GTA 3. He was the in between, the missing link of sorts. He was climbing the social ladder in LCS, movin' on up just like the Jeffersons, his new building was under construction, his business was flourishing, he was wheeling and dealing with the mafia and he decided to pursue the race for mayor to satiate his appetite for power. Donald was on the rise, but still not at the top of the food chain where he would eventually gain his confidence. Here he was on his way up, his star was rising but not at the top yet. There was still the possibility of him failing and so he was still unsure of himself, awkward, nervous, a carry over from his days as Avery's intern, though probably less awkward than back in 86. The events in LCS didn't help his awkward personality but as the storyline progresses, i think we can see the GTA 3 Donald start to come out. He became much more certain of himself in the final missions than he had been in the beginning so i think his behaviour was just a reflection of the development between up and coming businessman to Media mogul Donald Love that we all knew and loved (no pun intended) in GTA 3. One Armed Bandit
Donald Love is not a very big cannibal. At the most he eats 3 people. Also he does not sleep with the dead he is just lonely and no one alive actually likes him so he makes friends with corpses. You love bumping topics about Donald Love, do you? In my opinion, the GTA III Donald Love and his voice was boring. His LCS voice just revealed more about him.
