Frank.s
Explosions are specials FXs too. Sounds - I must convert and add them to library of GTA 3. Ah ok. So if the files are so small, why didn't you upload them the moment you made that first post. If not, paste the timecyc in a gtaf post like this. DEALUX
I'm really skeptical about this. Why would they leave files in the game that should have been replaced by the new ones? Wouldn't the new files replace the old ones? It's not like they could forget about them unless they didn't use them anymore. Because most, if not all of the files that were left over in any GTA game were unused. He is talking about different beta test discs that were given out. For example, you know how at E3 there will be a booth to play a certain game? Well I'm guessing that's exactly what he has acquired. super_slav
Then all he needs is a dev kit or a debug unit and then he can play it. Gameplay vids. Looks like rockstar used one of these. Edited November 30, 2011 by dro0001

DEALUX
Yeah... And in this topic he said the files where from the PS2 disc\original game. He really needs to make up his mind then. nkjellman
By looking at the beta screens it almost looks like they were making it for PS1. I mean look at Claude. It looked very cartoony, low poly, and not very many textures going on there. Edit: He should put the disc in his PC and extract the files off of it, and make it into an ISO because the emulator PSX2 can play ISO's. Edit 2: It looks like the very early beta textures are the GTA 2 ones. Edited November 30, 2011 by nkjellman
œaœa
I remember reading somewhere they were also going to develop it for gamecube and dreamcast. That might explain the graphics.
nkjellman
In a way the beta cars kinda remind me of LCS. But not the beta, what I would asume to be the Cheta. Looks somewhat across from the VC version and the III version. Edit: The timecyc.dat, espesaly the sky in this pic kinda reminds me of the San Fearo one in SA. Edit 2: I also noticed the train tracks don't line up in the upper right corner. Edited December 1, 2011 by nkjellman

Hmmm nice bike
Just sayin, but the video posted by Filip454 proves that Claude can talk. That sound clip of the man saying "Get out of the car" is actually a sound clip from GTA 2. I don't know if that was meant to be a placeholder for a voice that they would add to Claude later on, or if they just didn't think anything of it when they made that and still never intended him to have a voice.
