FFXII to GTA VC Stories

I'm back and it's been a while. I haven't posted here since making 100% on LCS.

 

I just finished playing Final Fantasy XXII and am just getting started on VCS. I've done the Taxi missions, the first 2 story line missions, and grabbed up a ton of weapons. I think I'm at about 3%

 

Anyway, so far I've noticed a significant glitch and it bugs me to think that I jusrt started and found one already. I hope it does not continue. While doing the taxi missions, about 3 or 4 times, I ran out of time tring to find new fares. Not because I only had 10 seconds. Most of the time I had a minute or more.

 

That said, I'm enjoying the game. Anything else I should look forward to? Or not?

the end of the story is spectacular. but seeing you haven't been introduced to the carachters you wouldnt have a clue

If you drop off a fare and you get a "no fares in this area" message, drive a only a block or so, stop, and a new fare usually pops up.

 

They often pop up behind you, so keep scanning the HUD for a blue blip.

We won't spoil it for you, but some memorable characters from VC are in VCS too.

I've driven from VC police station to Terminal A, stopping along the way in high pedestrian areas to find nobody, and run out of time. I've played and beat and scored 100% on every GTA so far, and never used cheat codes. But, I never ran into a "glitch" like this one. As a matter of fact, the last GTA "Glitch" I had was the famed "Purple Nines" glitch in GTAIII. That one cause me to have to do the game from scratch. But, that wasn't actually a bad thing.

That IS strange. Luckily, Taxi can be done one, five or all in a row. I think its $5000.00 or 50 fares, whichever comes first.

BTW- Did you notice the new parts of the Taxi side-mission? Its not the same old-same old!

It is strange. The only reason I complain is because I would have liked the "50 in a row bonus", well actually I only got to 38 passengers before I failed.

 

I did think it was awesome how they changed up the missions. I especially like the robbery types, thou I wish the passengers would have wanted to go a bit further. I got a total of 4 of these types, and only one went any decent distance. All in all, great change up though.

Before you "failed". Do you mean you ran out of time? Its not like you have to do them all in a row, like the old firefighter or ambulance.

You're misunderstanding me. I conpleted the mission at about lvl 42 because I had made $5000.

 

I was pissed however that I ran out of time wghile looking for fares. I made it to lvl 38, had a minute and a half or more on the clock, and could find no peds anywhere. So, mission failed. This happened 2-3 more times before I completed the Taxi missions. Broad dayligh, night time, residential areas buisiness district... it didn't matter. No people.

Oh! Well then, the game obviously wanted you to go on to something else. Its smart like that....
