Some bugs appeared by mapping in Vice City

Recommended Posts

I'm making a map mod for Vice City, and some bugs appeared:

The blown haitian drug factory, the blown up construction site is not in right place, and the un-damaged building appears withouth the blown version of it.

Some parts of the city (roads and a part of the docks) are turning, like the crane turned, the crane in the docks are not turning...

I'm using GTA 3/VC/SA Mapper v0.1b

I'm only edited downtown.ipl and downtows.ipl, i'm copied some buildings and roads from another ipls, i'm using the existing original Vice City models.

I made more skyscrapers into downtown (i copied the existing downtown skyscrapers) and i'm making an island to the marked area in this map:

The game does that if you mod the game too much. I think the only way to fix it is to start a new game. That happened to me in the LC mod when I changed some stuff. Temporary buildings appear in odd areas in the game.

You can mod the game, but you have to remember that some of the objects used on the map are defined in the SCM.

1. Buildings turning, thats defined in the IDE and 2dfx. (2dfx isnt just for lighting), I am using this effect to build a fare ground in point view (VCS)

2. The Destroyed building (construction site), this is hidden LOD object triggered by the SCM, this is also a IPL line that I had to remove myself, Sadly I cant remember what line this was.

3. Haitian drug factory?, I haven't modded this building yet so I didnt know about this, Still I'll be looking at the SCM to remove this.

I would suggest you use KED, because your beable to access most of the games map files.
