I did actually find bigfoot...I think but It all happened fast

 

I was training my bike skill,and I was on a MTB

it was around 23:45 or sumtin I was near Whetstone,at the very border of Back 'o' Beyond.I passed the wooden bridge (where you can find the quad in the bushes) and I was cycling a little bit more,and I stopped because I saw a huge walking thing goin at me (My draw distance was at a minimum,so it just popped right in front of me)

I sadly didn't have a camera nor FRAPS installed,so I didn't manage to get a pic,but I quit game after the sighting.

(I'm afraid to go the frickin woods alone now)

Hello,

 

If the question is regarding GTA: San Andreas, an Nvidia GeForce 3 should run the game quite well. Regarding the "myths" in the game, we are unable to confirm that these things exist or do not exist within the game.

I'm not sure if the Serial Killer has been posted yet...but I was going around Fort Carson with thermal goggles on, until I saw a woman talking to somebody - who wasn't heated up (cold-blooded killa ) on the goggles...and when I walked up to him, it was the man in all-black clothing and looked like a complete mad-man

There are no serial killers/bigfoots/chainsaw dudes/UFOs in San Andreas. Someone just started this myth bull§hit and now everyone believes this crap. The flashing light in the seky is a meteor. Or it maybe a UFO. That is the only thing that is wierd/myth related. i checked the sa files and no sign of bigfoot or anyone else special.

 

I am particaulrly(dammit cant spell) interested in the green goo. can it be alien blood?

Here's a list of the references found in GTA San Andreas:

 

1. There's an abondoned wheel chair at the end of the wharf in Fisher's Lagoon. There's also a junk container in Bayside Marina carrying the same text, "Skip hire". The wheel chair was believed by many to be a reference to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as one of the youths in this movie is in a wheel chair, but actually it is the same wheel chair that can be seen in the start of the Rockstar game Manhunt.

2. There are at least nine chainsaws to found placed around in San Andreas. One of them is found between a shack and some piles of logs in the Panopticon area. The shack has what looks like blood stains all over the floor, but most cabins and shacks in the area has the same kind of stains.

3. There has been some talk about some meathooks in San Andreas. Both Ed Gein and Leatherface used meathooks to hang up their victims bodies. I will get back with a picture when I find them.

 

4. In the box of the official version of the game, it's a fold-out map. On this map, you'll find marked out "The farm, Cult location". That most probably refers to the Epsilon cult, but actually, the main building (left) is pretty much alike both the house of Ed Gein (middle) and the house used in TTCM (right), or more like a mix of those two houses.

5. There's two cars in San Andreas, a Glendale and a Walton, that has both a normal version skin, and a beaten-up version skin. These are the only two cars that has this kind of extra skin, and you can't repair them into the unbroken skin, as with other cars. Why just these two cars? There's no meaning to them being beaten up, what consernes the missions or other parts of the game, except that they're used as parked cars in more deserted locations, like the woods.

 

 

Ed Gein had a car that looked something like the Walton truck, and in TTCM, the youths escapes in a Glendale-type of car, while Leatherface is attacking the car with his chainsaw. The scratches on these cars looks very much look like they've been made with a chainsaw. It suits very well with the theory that Rockstar made a second skin for just these two cars, as references to Ed Gein and TTCM.

 

6. In the desert, you can find a mass grave with six body bags, and a Bobcat truck parked next to them. This has also been believed to be a reference to TTCM or Ed Gein, but this is actually a reference to the Scorsese film Casino. In the introduction movie in the PS2 special edition of San Andreas, you can see two mobsters digging this hole.

 

 

 

There's also three graves located just next to Catalina's cabin, but they must be her three ex-boyfriends she refers to in the game (she says she killed them).

 

7. The Panopticon area is probably named after the american Panopticon prison. This prison was made to keep America's most vicious killers, and could therefore be ment as a reference to Ed Gein. If the e-mail from Rockstar saying "there is something in the woods" really is coming from Rockstar, it could be about this area. A theory is that it is called Panopticon, because Ed Gein or Leatherface is "held" in this area, as a prisoner is held in the Panopticon prison. A bit far-fetched? Maybe, but yet interesting.

 

8. The cinema in Angel Pine announces the movie "Chuffed to pieces". Both Ed Gein and the TTCM family chuffed their victims to pieces, so this seems like a clear reference.

9. I found a posting from a person who collected several findings around this particular myth, and he mentions finding a movie poster in the Badlands, saying "egein hex", and he explaines that this means "Ed Gein in the hex". His information otherwise seemed well-founded, so I guess we'll have to thrust him on this one, until I find that poster myself, and bring a picture of it.

I'm not formiliar with wath "in the hex" means either, but I think it's something about using numbers or letters in a different way. If I get an explanation for this, I'll be sure to put out here.

 

10. In Zero's shop in San Fierro, you'll find boxes with the game Manhunt, with Piggsy on the cover. Manhunt features a character similar to Leatherface, called Piggsy, which also used a chainsaw.

 

11. Amongst all the other body parts, Ed Gein kept nine vulvas in his house, where the one of his mother was painted it in silver. The silver vibrator found in Bayside could be a reference to this. It would not be appropriate - not even in GTA - to use an actual vulva in the game, it would be too bizarre. The silver vibrator could therefore very well substitute for the vulva as a reference - but I guess Rockstar should have a real hardcore Ed Gein-fan amongst their staff to come up with something like this. Also notice that the container located next to the vibrator has the same text as you can find on the wheel chair in Fishers Lagoon, "Skip hire".

 

Never the less - it's great fun to beat up pedestrians with it!

12. The open and empty grave chamber in Palamino Creek could most certainly be a reference to Ed Gein, as he was a grave-robber. The chamber also turns green at night, but I'm not sure if this is supposed to mean anything. I also found a couple of other places that get a green shine to them at night, one of them is Catalina's house, one is a empty storage house.

I's not a meteor.

 

I was chasing it when I was In the Sky with my Rustler.

 

It's has high altitude.

So it's either a UFo,or something else.

 

It's very Fast,So catching it is impossible without a mod which enables you to travel at greater speeds in planes.

 

I suppose you could find one in the sky near Verdants Meadow on Friday,Somewhere in the night,like somewhere close 20:00.

 

It's possible to find out what that thing is.

It would make perfect sense that Rockstar would put something like this in the game, to make it seem more like the real world. In the real world we also have videos of ufo sightings, bigfoot exists as a myth etc.

 

So when its the same with GTA it rly makes the game more close to our own reality u know. Makes it a little more exiting.

 

If we can't see ufo's in real life, then lets go find 'em in GTA - and we'll always have our camera with us

About the UFO you've been talking about. I saw something actually. Nothing like that guys picture, though. It was more like a bright flash flying over my head, it happend twice so there's no sh*t about this. We're talking about the bridgebetween Easter Bay Chemichals and The Panopticon just east of san fierro.

I checked up on my experience with this 'UFO' and it was some weird lighting photo-op sh*t. sorry about that folks. peace and happy hunt

 

Rockstar probably wants these rumours to stay alive since they're a part of making the game even more famous. as two people already mentioned, they started playing again because of all these myths. and my guess is, when you started playing again you had a hell of alot of fun. so, maybe the myths aren't so important after all.

 

I just cruised around the net. wants the deal with: leatherface, ghost cars and so on? I mean, it reminds awfully lot of mods or manipulted screenshots.

And the answer is, no they don't. Sorry to burst the bubble, but textures isn't enough - a model would be required. Sure, there could be a model in the IMG archive, but that would require an added line in the ped data files in order for him to spawn or exist at all. There quite clearly isn't such a thing in the ped data files - we know what every line of code and which ped it affects.

 

If the UFO existed, it would require it's own data entries as a vehicle (plane) in order to move or spawn randomly in certain areas, since the engine doesn't support map objects having such characteristics. If they did have such characteristics, they'd be controlled by the scm, which has been ripped apart and rebuilt numerous times by many users since the game's release in 2004. Such code would have been found, especially since people have actively looked for it anyway.

 

It simply isn't true, there isn't even a single image/video that anybody can show as proof. The evidence against is overwhelming, or indeed absolute.

I was on a main road,with lots of cars,and all of the sudden a giant tree comes rolling down the hill. It rolls right through all the cars without causing any damage and then it rolls right by my car and into the water.

 

This may have just been due to a pedestrian crashing into a tree and knocking it down somewhere up the hill. But I've heard that when the ghost car crashes into the tree at Back O Beyong,it sends the tree rolling down the hill. I think I may have been in Back O Beyong at the time,so it may have been due to the ghost car.

 

Also that list of chainsaw evidence further up is awsome!R* Might have just put it in for fun,or maybe there really is a leatherface in the game?
