porn flyers not showing correctly

I've been looking all over for this, and apparently noone has adressed this issue before?

My problem is (purely cosmetical and only mentioned because it bugs the heck out of me) that after completion of the mission Dildo Dodo (and during actually) the porn flyers that are supposed to be spread across town is replaced by the newspaper texture...

 

does anyone know of a way to fix this, so the proper graphics/texture is displayed?

 

This is on the PC version by the way...

You'd have to to dig your eye right into the monitor's screen and max out the draw distance, resolution, and anisotropic/anti-aliasing to even see the newspapers' textures. They are just fake and nothing to worry about. R*'s Vice City programming just made them look that way -- just because the mission states they were supposed to be "porn flyers", doesn't mean that the game's rendering of a porn flyer will look the same. They are just regular newspapers, and as I said, the actually pornographic material is hidden somewhere in the textures that no human being can sight without proper graphical in-game adjustment and program debugging skills. They may be mods but I doubt it and who'd even care? You would be able to realize by now that the police chopper in the air is fake, the "moving" plane at the Airport is fake, and the flyers that you deliver in the Dildo Dodo mission can fall right into Blue Hell through the ground!

 

Perhaps if you capture a screenshot, we'd check if any similarities are there, although this will become extremelry difficult if your game's copy happens to be clearly similar to rest of the other forum members around here.

 

 

On the mission Martha's Mug Shot (Candy is stripped naked), and on G-Splotlight (Candy's breast or shown to you right across Downtown on a tower during the night)! I hope you will be able to see those textures properly.

Have you modded your game at all? That's one of the requisites for posting in the Troubleshooting forum And what I'd put my money on is the cause of your non-issue.

Actually, I have the PC version of Vice City and upon completing Dildo Dodo, porn flyers were indeed strewn across the streets. Alas, I don't know how to solve your problem but I'm confirming there are porn flyer textures.

no mods and freshly installed game... (newly bought since my old original was stolen... can't remember if that one worked, honestly...)

 

#Ring of fire: what? the flyers are supposed to look like the ones on the table in the mission intro... they worked for me on the ps2 way back before i got it for pc for the first time... it's clearly just the texture used for the newspapers being reused for the flyers (and the advertising dodo's banner for some other strange reason...)

 

well mister zero at least confirms that they should be there... hmmmm
