Freezing During Loading

Yes, well. I have San Andreas for PC, DVD edition and all that jazz.

Whenever I edit the IMG file, it freezes halfway during the loading portion of the game. I'm not to sure what the problem is, I followed the directions given in the mods, including rebuilding the archive.

 

Any idea's or pointers?

 

Win Version: XP Home

Graphic Card: ATI Radeon 9800

Processor: 900mhrtz.(Sucky, yeah, I know.)

RAM: 512

Down-grade your EXE to version one (version two, which I presume you have, is unmoddable). Search Google for a down-grader - no links will be provided here as doing so violates forum policy.

i think you're playing the Second Edition of GTA SA which isn't as freely moddable as the first...

Are you suffering this after using map cleaner, or are you only modifying the still-existing GTASA?

what is a map cleaner? i just installed GTA:SA and went installing the mod. i didnt do anyting else. plz help - what to do -thnx

 

EDIT: okay i know what is a map cleaner and im not using it. i have 100% V1 game cuz it doesnt say V2.00 in the main menu. so it must me the main.scm and script.img problem. NOTE: i installed one car called Hummer H2 DW Edition and it worked perfectly fine but then i went on modding other cars and it gave me the same LOAD-CRASH Problem what to do -thnx
