Wu Zi Mu

Recommended Posts

I'm terrible at driving, all of the races give me trouble. I have failed this mission four times now, any tips you can give me? On the PS2, I remember it took me at least twelve tries when I did it, so I'll get it eventually. What is the best car to use?

Edit: Well, pure luck, I some how got past it, now the next one. I forgot about this one. They give you those sh*tty cars, tap on the breaks just slightly and you spin out of control. Any tips for this one then?

Take your time. Speed up when riding along a straight path, but slow down before turning corners. The ZR-350 is a pretty fast vehicle, so it shouldn't take very long for you to lose sight of other racers.

Yes, and if you repeatedly fail a mission, just make it a point to know the course. It's very frustrating when you miss a sharp turn you didn't see or swerve left instead of right after hitting a checkpoint, so in the name of learning through experience, pay attention to what you do in the middle of a race.

Maybe Grand Theft Auto isn't the right game series for you monocle.gif

Just kidding colgate.gif Good luck on the races. You live and learn, I've had to do some races 10 times before I got the feel of the track and was able to beat the other drivers.

Wu Zi Mu and Farewell my love are the same race, but the second one is the other way round. I think this is, i did them both back to back and they seemed the same. For Wu Zi Mu the best car i feel is the Rancher, it is fast and handles well. Drive carefully and you should get there in the end. For the other one i happened to have a toyota MR2 which i had downloaded, it was a pain in the a*** but i did it eventualy.

Well, I managed to do it, thank you for the help.

Aviator79: I have been playing the GTA games since number 1, up until recently they were not about racing. I'm really disappointed that they are going for the whole racing sh*t, if I wanted to play a racing game I would go buy Grand Turismo or some sh*t like that, but I don't. If the next GTA game has even MORE racing in it, I'm not even going to bother buying it.

-minor spoiler about a minor mission here-

And now 555- We Tip (or something like that) is giving me trouble, "OMG! leik der iz a ding in me car! it musts be da bumbs!". Really, a simple little ding in the door (well, alright, it's about to fall off) doesn't really indicate a bomb, it indicated a sh*tty valet. But, eh, whatever, I don't need help on this one, I'm just too dizzy to do it right now.

tap on the breaks just slightly and you spin out of control.

In that case, I would recommend not tapping on the brakes just slightly biggrin.gif

Also, keep in mind that you don't have to drive very fast to stay in 1st place. You will have more problems by going too fast and crashing than by maintaining a moderate pace.

I like the races, because they force you to learn to be a good driver. I wouldn't want the races to be the main focus of the game, but having a bunch in the game is cool.

I can either tap on the breaks and spin out of control, or I can not tap the breaks and go into the watter. I think spinning is the better of the two. I have played through this game at least three times now, and I'm no better at driving then when I first played GTA 3. I wouldn't mind the races if they were optional, I just wouldn't do them. But when racing is becoming the main focus of the game it is getting out of hand.

Instead of, "Go here, kill this guy. Go there, blow something up." it is "Hey, let's race for no apparent reason... gangster...". Again, I just hope the next one doesn't have even MORE mandatory racing. It could have 500 optional races and I wouldn't care, as long as they don't make me do it. >.>

If you spot and ELGEY grab it and use it cause u can flog the guts out of it and it has awesome handling.. I done it first go with it and won.. But yea just take your time and don't get the Sh*ts with it and you will get it soon enough

And maybe try drifting around a corner instead of braking just use the handbrake and tap it tell u get the rear end out but don't put it out to far cause thats when things get ugly..

I found just normal braking to slow and boring.. tounge.gif

Over the years in GTA, I've learned to take my time and not speed through the races like a maniac. Just relax, keep a steady pace and when you see an oppurtunity to take the lead take it and once you're in the control of the race keep a steady pace, watch for sharp turns, and wham you're done. smile.gif

EDIT: and on 555-We Tip, I just used the ghost town cheat. lol.gif

It's way to hard for not to bump the car into something or another car.

An easy way to pass "555 We Tip" would be to follow the trolley tracks for as far as you can, then drive slowly and carefully to your destination. Try not to focus too much on the timer. Take your time and concentrate while driving, so that you won't need to drive all the way back to the garage to get the vehicle repaired.

I can either tap on the breaks and spin out of control, or I can not tap the breaks and go into the watter.

Well, there IS another option, which would be to approach the turns more slowly and go through them cleanly.

If you feel that your only choices are to spin or go in the water, then you're driving too fast into the turns. Part of being a good driver is knowing when to haul ass and when to chill out a bit.

Luckily for you, most of the races in San Andreas are optional, though I imagine the chase missions are pretty frustrating for you as well.

No, I do fine on the chase mission, only the races give me trouble. And those damned RC ones, but I found those to be al ot easier on the PC (mouse and keyboard) than on the PS2, got all of thme on my first try.

@Vercetti-Guy: I don't cheat.

The thing with RX-7's(ZR-350's) is that they wern't really built for county racing like their real life counterpart, if they had given you something like a Bufallo(Mk2 Camaro), a Patroit(Humvee) or more obviously a Sandking, the race would be too easy and be done quiker, Rockstar probaly made it a challenge, because most Countyside missions easy, and it was the 'way out' of the countryside, and most missions that unlock a new area, like The Green Sabre, Yay Ka Boom Boom etc all are a bit challenging.

Notes:

I haven't forgotten about Are You Going To San Fierro.

Sorry about any spoilers.
