You're some kind of stupid, aren't you? Ever driven a car? You'll realize that the side mirrors don't do sh*t all while backing up (parking, specifically)

If you can't use your mirrors when parking you're just silly, tounge.gif

I back into me carport, which is only about a metre wider than me car, all the time, and all I use is me side mirrors. Besides I really don't think the visibility in the new Maloo is any worse than it was in the old one.

unless, and with the rear that high, you won't be able to seen anything behind you that isn't a good 3-4 feet tall. Such as a child. Or a dog. Catch my drift?

I don't see how you're meant to be able to see a child or a dog in most cars anyways, I probably couldn't in our sedans, and I for sure as hell couldn't in our 4wd. If you back up slowly, and hit something, you'll figure it out pretty quickly.

And while we're on the topic of these sport utes such as the Maloo, F6 Tornado or Pursuit ect. I don't see why you would spend so much money on a ute, You would be too worried about scratching it to use it for actual work, and if you're going to spend that much money on a 2 door/seater car you may as well buy an actual sports car. confused.gif

bip bip does the parktronic and bzzzzt does the mirror changing its position automatically when you're in reverse. This feature exists since 1994 (on BMWs) and now you may find it in many cars.

It's cheaper and faster. Why the hell not? It's like a coupe, only bogan!

A VK Commordore with alloy wheels is bogan, tounge.gif , I think this is just silly. That being said I think buying a new car is silly, each to there own I guess.

Lol, bogan? Care to define that for me?

Anyways, about buying a "ute", plenty of people around here would get it for sure. They basically just slam their S-10's to the ground and they look just the same.

Bogan (pronounced /ˈbəʉ.gn̩/, rhyming with slogan) is an Australian and New Zealand English slang term, generally pejorative, for a person who is, or is perceived to be, unsophisticated or of a lower class background. According to the stereotype, the speech and mannerisms of "bogans" indicate poor education and uncultured upbringing. The term is mainly applied to white, working-class people.

SPY PHOTOS: Latest Mercedes SL Major Facelift

Expect SL major facelift next year

Mercedes has decided to let the current SL, which is already 6 years old, live for several more years before the all new SL Class will come on the market. With a minor facelift over a year and a half ago, Mercedes feels it needs to freshen the looks one more time and hopefully keep up the good sales figures by giving the SL a major facelift next year.

While some of you poseur Mercedes fans might say, "Hey, the current generation R230 is already six years old, the next generation should be out, now!" However, the real hard core Mercedes dweebs will say, "but if you know your SL history the previous R129 generation was on the market for 12 years, and the one before that, was 16 years". That's the equivalent of living 224 human years. However, with the dwindling attention spans of consumers, we can expect the next gen to not go quite as long with an arrival in 2011.

Seen in the attached photos, test cars have been sighted in many different locations of various climates such as cold weather testing in Scandinavia to the warm dusty roads of the Mediterranean.

The biggest change will be the CLS-style headlamps together with a new bumper and grille. Camouflage over the rear lamps is hiding a new shape and new diodes that are light emitting (LED).

Another feature already in the SLK that will finally come for the facelifted SL is the AIRSCARF, which is an air vent built into the headrest and blows warm air on your neck so you don't get cold when the top is down. How posh...

Engines are likely to remain the same as in the current model, but rumors are talking about a turbocharged version of the 350 engine with 354 bhp. Top of the line model will remain as the SL65 AMG with 612 bhp.

The photos are showing various prototypes as well as a computer image suggesting the new look of the next SL.

Also, Vortech has released a supercharger ($6695-$6995) for the C6 Z06 that pumps the out put up to 635 horsepower!! Insane... They are also using a SQ technology, "Super-quiet", which makes the supercharger whine almost unable to be heard at lower speeds and rpms.

Boooo! sleepy.gif

I daily drive an SVT Lightning that has a 1.85 Litre Eaton Twin-Screw up top. The whistling it makes while at idle and low RPM are just a cry out for it to be stepped on! Its almost as great as the high pitched whine she makes nearing WOT.

IMO put a KB on that sucker.

By the way, is that Vortech a centrifugal or does it sit on top of the manifold?

New Supercharged TRD Aurion released

Still a FWD car, but its the leading car in its class i guess. Love the agressive look of it, but even with its 10KW lead over the RWD competition, i'd still take a RWD over it. Nice car none-the-less. Should be interesting how it goes in the aussie market.

Toyota will be launching a new version of the Toyota Aurion sedan sold in Australia that will become the one of the most powerful FWD production cars on sale. The supercharged V6 Toyota Aurion sedan will also be the first official vehicle from Toyota branded under the TRD label. The Toyota Aurion TRD comes in two different flavors, a more basic 3500S and the better equipped more sporty 3500SL flagship. Both models send up to 323 horsepower and 295lb-ft. of torque through the front wheels. The Aurion, which is basically be a Camry with new front and rear bumpers is powered by a 2GR-FE 3.5L V6. The new performance models rise the power beyond the standard output thanks to an Eaton TVS supercharger developed by TRD and motorsports company Harrop Engineering. The new engine develops over 221lb-ft. of torque from as low as 1,250rpm and maintains this torque until redline. The 0-100km/h acceleration takes 6.1 seconds and the standing quarter in 14.2 seconds. The Toyota Aurion TRD is only offered with a six-speed auto and comes with larger brakes than the standard model. Twin-piston calipers and vented 325mm discs at the front, and 310mm ventilated rear discs with single piston calipers fill the 19in alloys.

Italian Ferrari tuning specialist Novitec Rosso plans to present its new appearance kit and a tuning program for the Ferrari 599 GTB at the upcoming motor show in Frankfurt. Consisting of new front lower spoiler, side skirts with larger air intake openings, side flaps, rear wing and rear diffuser, the aerodynamic package increases downforce and lets the air run more smoothly to the cool the engine and brakes.

Using reprogrammed ECU and new exhaust system with 90mm dual tips, Novitec's engineers increased Ferrari 599 GTB engine's maximum power output from 620hp to 645hp, therefore increasing the top speed by 5km/h. There will also be another power upgrade next year.

There is also an adjustable aluminum suspension from KW Automotive, bespoke 405mm brakes with six-piston calipers manufactured by Brembo and a set of 20-inch type N3 wheels in the front and 21-inch in the rear with Pirelli P Zero 275/30 R20 and 355/25 R21 tires.

(source autoreview - something quite shabby actually but i couldn't be arsed to find other sources)

I'd have to say the 599 is probably my most favorite Ferrari, and that kit does look pretty good on it, although I don't like the black tail lights.

Veyron Pur Sang. Pretty much the same veyron, but with pure aluminium alloy and carbon panels. Shaves 100kg off the veyrons weight.

Still would rather the Zonda R though, that car is just pure sex inlove.gif
