I've been thinking of trading my SLS deposit for the CLA when it comes out. Sure it may be overpriced, but for a lot of customers here in Asia it's probably a fifth or sixth car so it doesn't really matter.

That sounds f*cking retarded. icon13.gif

Why? cryani.gif

I just can't justify buying an SLS anymore as I need the money for my wedding. Ring alone is going to cost me between £15k-£25k and obviously Mercedes won't give me back my deposit. They are allowing me to use my deposit on anything else they have though as my family have been loyal customers for years.

My parents will probably get the CLA, not sure yet though. It's probably the best looking car they've created in the past years, but I'm also pretty cautious nowadays. Everyone is so "amazed" at the new A-Class, and I found it pretty sh*t when I test drove it.

But yeah CLA seems promising. But the price does shoot up pretty much once you add a few extras. suicidal.gif

I'd go for an SLS and give her a smaller diamond myself.

So would I, but apparently "these decisions are supposed to be made together".

Also the A-Class looks fantastisch! Surely can't be sh*tter than the old A Class when it comes to handling. Right?

Oh no. I had to drive the old A-Class in driving school, it was so horrible. Handling and stuff is great on the new A-Class, but the interior just feels so tight and depressing. The windows are so small, there's barely any light that comes inside, you feel locked in. I didn't find it nice at all, I don't know. And the automatic was pretty sh*t as well. At least the CLA has the new directshift automatic of Mercedes, I don't think the A-Class has it.

I actually prefer it when the windows are smaller, like in the 300C. Makes you feel cocooned in metal. The old Range Rover had massive windows and I felt like I could pop a boner and it'd be obviously visible from outside the car.

I like it, and I agree. Looks better than most of it's competition. Love that interior and it's build quality.

I love it. I love it so much!

Only thing I don't like is the centre console. I never liked that wedge shape.

it's got the same weird tall point of the grill that sticks out past the headlights just like new mercs. What happened to sloping grills? Big frontal areas aren't attractive in this day and age when cars are much more round. If it had one, it'd be a pretty damn good looking car. Rear is very Bentley-ish which I quite like.

Umm, I don't like the way it looks in the front. Too... weird.

Looks like the illicit, very-nearly-back-alley-abortion love-child of a Rolls-Royce Phantom and a Vauxhall Insignia. Not a fan.

Blame pedestrians walking in front of cars...

Looks like any other BMW to be honest, could be the blurry pics also. This does however seem to be quite a bit toned down from the concept model, also the roofline is kinda off and i still dont like those rear lights BMW keeps putting on their newer models.

To be honest, it's overall design.does mot surprise me. It looks like a blown up ATS with a bit of XTS in there. The whole interior screams XTS but with minor modifications and better colors.

However, it still looks very attractive. Cannot wait to see them, and I know they will be popular. This place seems CTS happy.

One reason why I don't like BMW. All cars look nearly the same, the interior usually IS the same even. I think the dashboard of BMW is the most boring thing ever.

Not to mention that over here most BMW drivers drive like complete idiots. The past 3 days I've spent over 12 hours on the Highway here, and the only cars that were seriously speeding were BMW drivers, but not only that, they also stay around 1m behind you to try to "push" you away, even if there are other cars in front of you and it's obvious that it would make no difference.

Most of this also applies to Audi drivers. sigh.gif

The German car companies are like smartphone manufacturers, they seem all to be making 5 slightly differently sized versions of the same product.

Yup, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, but even Cadillac - not Euro obviously - is starting. The ATS is now a smaller CTS which is a smaller XTS now.

Nice ass interior.

It looks like a slightly shrunken 6-series.

Which is a good thing IMO.

I like everything about it except for the dashboard. First off, I just don't like the current 3 series dashboard and the fact that they're using it in this car is a disappointment. It's a bland dashboard even with nice colors and/or trims.

I don't like what BMW's doing with the headlights on most of their models. They look like they had a stroke and fell off.

Looks good (I assume the final version will have more ground clearance), I hope they do an estate version.

This is the reason why Dubai has money problems. They waste it on this. Though cool, it'll lead them back into trouble if they keep doing this.
