geomy
My first topic - hope it's in the right place... Just noticed that the user(s) reading count and list at the bottom of threads is gone. This is no doubt in reaction to members counting the number of users anticipating the high-res scans in here. Is this necessary, or possible to apply in only one thread? Just observant and curious. Edited April 10, 2007 by geomy
LT.Diablo
Yeah I just noticed. It was here this morning and it's gone again. Server strain maybe?
jimmy.
It wasn't working for me for a while, then it worked briefly, and now it's back to not working. I was wondering what happened to it myself.
RMT
I'd imagine it's been turned off to help the performance of the forums. Pacrel Focre
Otter
It has been removed in the past for the same reasons. I beg of you, post any administrative issues in the proper area. YOU'VE BEEN SO GOOD SO FAR!!!!
ViperGTS-R
It probably uses up a fair bit of CPU time that could be used for other things. It was turned off just before the GTA4 Trailer too... My guess is theres been a bit of code added that turns it off when the board gets more than X numbers of users online.
fox09
Hell, the other day, I noticed the little dots to indicate which topics you've posted in dissappeared. I'm kind've wondering what they're up to.
Lost-Fender
My guess is theres been a bit of code added that turns it off when the board gets more than X numbers of users online. I think you're right. Right now, there's a bunch of members online, pretty many, more than the average. And the Users reading is not appearing, so very possibly is because of a "code". It was also off when the GTAIV was released, at the time there were so many online discussing the trailer. Justin
Probably because scans of the May issue of Game Informer have been leaked.
Digïtál £vîl
IT doesnt help that GTAFORUMS was Digg'd today. One of the GTA4 sites spoke about the scans and then directed all the traffic to GTAforums.com
WidowMaker
Probably because scans of the May issue of Game Informer have been leaked. Wow, glad you solved that one, Sherlock. It totally wasn't stated in the original post or anything either. Why are you wasting your time on an internet forum when you should be out solving crimes?! For the good of humanity, go! GO!
