If I may, I'd like to ask some clarifying questions, as I still feel that these clues are too vague for us to make any educated or informed guesses. Feel free to refuse if you feel answering would make guessing the answer too easy.

 

You are similar to someone or something that was removed from the game due to technical difficulties. This person or object is similar to someone or something that is reasonably prevalent in the game, although you see no reason why it couldn't have just been left as it is. Is that correct?

 

You can sometimes be purple; is this connected with Ballas colours?

 

You can be seen at any time; is this something that the player is free to travel to go and see at any time, or something that can be seen even when not moving? I'm trying to figure out if it's some landmark or physical thing that you can go and look at whenever you want, or whether it's something present on the screen at all times.
