silvaz
You shouldn't have any problems playing this or most other late titles on Vista unless you need hardware upgrades. Vista will use more resources in some cases so RAM, CPU, GPU, and even the Motherboard needs to be up to par. I run a custom Laptop (Vista OS) with GTA:SA, BF2, and HL2 all installed and don't even lag.AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-642GB (2x1GB) PC5300NVIDIA GeForce GO 7600 256MB60GB 7200RPM SATA150 Nice specs mate. Am running on Intel Core Duo, 2GB of RAM, NVIDIA Geforce 7950 GX2and have 500GB hard drive! LOL along with Vista Business. Everything is running so smoothly and is a lot better than XP, only problem is th drivers on everything are not all updated! LOL! But yeah I like Vista and there are/have been no major issues with it yet.need help.... my pc specs:- Intel Pentium 4 3.00Ghz with HT Technology- MSI P4M900M2 Mainboard- 2GB DDRII 667 RAM- MSI NX8600GT Overclock Edition 256MB DDRIII- Maxtor 300GB 7200RPM IDE- Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit- Windows Experience Index : 4.2i couldnt run gta_sa.exe. as soon as i start the game, gta_sa.exe closed unexpectedly. tried to use both compatibility mode for Windows 98/ME and Windows XP and run the program as an administrator, no improvement. qwerty0100
Hi, I'm trying to run GTA:SA on my laptop with the following hardware: Vista Ultimate (64 bit) Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family 358MB 2GB RAM The game installs correctly but when i try to run it an error message pops up saying: Please remove disc from current CD/DVD drive and insert the original disc in another drive ?:. With that exact format and the dots at the end and everything. I only have 1 disc drive so i have no idea what to do. Could anyone help me? ajb123644
Ignore what I said about the adding a shortcut to desktop as it has the same effect. It's just that certain programs like boot disk creators only work on the first time when you run them. After that, it no longer works. And this security feature in Vista is causing MTA not to work as well. Here's what I mean if I try to use the same program (ShinoD7 Boot disk of the NiNja) after it was used before: Access Denied... Error message -> http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/MWarfare/match.png Error message -> http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/MWa.../disk_error.png Error message -> http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/MWarfare/ad.png This is what it did... Windows 98/Me compatibility mode... Error message -> http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k166/MWarfare/image.png Successful format after restart and run on the first time... Did you get the problem solved as that first screenshot look to me like it could have ben a virus? Ring_of_Fire
Any PC you buy now will always be enough for SA to work. You should be saying that to games like Crysis. Ring_of_Fire
The powerful CPU and RAM is literally gonna help your GPU do all the processing work. You won't get an error message that's for sure, and any noticeable lag can be fixed by lowering the resolution, draw distance, and the Visual FX Quality. Plus turn off AA. Upgrading the graphics card can be put to a halt until you got games like Crysis. Ring_of_Fire
How do i turn off the AA and lower the visual quality if this error happens in the future You will never get an error message so as long as you update your drivers. Read the ReadMe for San Andreas to find out how to lower down the graphics settings to achieve stable framerates. Since you will probably not buy a graphics card, I recommend getting a Intel Core 2 Quad (CPU) and 2-4GBs of RAM (memory). That way you will have better gaming performance without actually having a decent GPU. Stefan.
I tried installing it on my dad's laptop, and no problems arose.
