Ryuranger
Hey just wondering if any of you guys still play Retro Games. I've just started into playing games on my Newly Purchased Sega Saturn, and I've been buying Classics like NBA Jam, Vectorman, The Shinobi Series, The Sonic Series, Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 & 3 for my Megadrive. What's your favorite Retro Game / Console? Just wondering, because the games that are coming out seem to just be about the Graphics now and not so much on the Gameplay and thats why I got into Retro Gaming. No Escape?
SNES, bitches. Super Mario RPG kicks the hell outta this Paper Mario douchebaggery. Also, I had hours upon hours of entertainment with the Donkey Kong Country series when I was younger. Dixie Kong's Double Trouble was great. Sillyhed2000 gets DOS emulator and starts playing Other favourites when I was but a wee chap included Secret Agent, Crystal Caves (Apogee is the shiznit), and the classic Monkey Island series. I've only ever played the first one, though. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/273314-retro-gamers/#findComment-4158540 Share on other sites

Ryuranger
Finished Clocking Gex on the Sega Saturn, the game is pretty good for a 2D Platformer. Hopefully I can pick up a copy of Nights ( Saturn ) at Work tomorrow, I've heard alot of good things about the game. I've only ever played the first one, though. S.A.M. (Secret Agent Man) and Crystal Caves were badass. My uncle would always hax them for me. Hell, that was when I was around 7, I'm not even sure if you could've bought them by then. Great games though. Edit: Lame. I downloaded the shareware of CC, but when I run it nothing happens, it's just all black, and my 'puter lets out a horrible beaping noise. It's weird, because I've run SAM before. Any ideas? E.A.B.
Let me add to that previous list: Finished Duke Nukem 3D, never again will I see such awesome front cover art again. Wolfenstein and that's about it. I've played games for the PSX and N64, but they aren't old enough to be called retro. Ryuranger
^ I Dont know, SNES was considered Retro when the PS2 was out, Now the PS3 is out I think its fair to say the 64 and PSX are Retro Still Haven't got my Copies of Nights yet Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/273314-retro-gamers/#findComment-4168849 Share on other sites

Mainland Marauder
Well, I picked up this nifty little gadget called the FC Twin which is a NES/SNES clone. Sounds are a little off on the NES games but most SNES games sound like the real McCoy (only exception I've run into is Final Fantasy VI/III). Everything else is on the money, but playing NES games on a SNES-style controller takes a bit of getting used to. I want River City Ransom and have not been able to find it. I will suck someone off for it. Seriously......just kidding.....seriously (damn, I loved that game) Also, I have the first two Midway Arcade Treasures, Capcom, Namco and Taito arcade collections as well as the Sega Genesis compilation. Now that I have a good PC, emulators are now an option. Hell, I still miss the Atari 2600 sometimes.... Waddy
Hows about 'Gauntlet' on the Spectrum 48? Paperboy on the C64. darthYENIK
Ouch, I just got osteoporosis from reading what you guys think is retro. To me when I think of retro gaming, I think of Atari or the golden age of arcade games. Pac-man, Centipede, Missile command, and Galaga are my favorite old school games.
