You think they'll be another Vice City...

I very much doubt Rockstar will make another game set at Vice City but then again everyone said the same about Liberty City after GTA 3 and LCS, but here we are with GTA 4 set in Liberty City (or one bigger in size at least).

It's also feasible Vice City might appear in GTA 4, but like most GTA 4 things at this time its all speculation.

As for a Vice City set in present day there’s no doubt its a story many would love to play/read. It has so much potential and options in terms of developments over the years since Tommy took over.

Well, in my opinion, Lc had lots of other city's surrounding it, so R* could easily make it bigger by adding new city's to it. Vc on the other hand is only a small island with nothing else surrounding it, so i doubt Vc could again appear just as Lc did.

But then again, who knows. ( I sure hope so icon14.gif )

Nah, the time period makes the game. If there is to be another GTA set in Vice City (and how I'd love it so), I'd like to see it set around 80/81 or 88/89. The whole atmosphere would be destroyed should Vice City exist in a time period other than the Eighties.

Vice City in 2008/2009! Sacre Bleau! That would ruin the Miami Vice-like atmosphere! R* shouldnt touch the Vice City Franchise for a while unless maybe, heres an idea you play the game as like...Mitch Baker or someone during the rise of Tommy, and you can see the mayhem unfold around you but thats just an idea.

I was thinking an 88-89 era Vice City would be a fun concept. Tommy would be the boss man, and the playable character again i would hope. But now it would be his struggles with the drug trade, dealing with Ken's cocaine problem, maybe an alliance with the Leone family in Liberty to help them take down the Forelli's. Maybe we could see how Avery got mixed up with the Columbians. There's a ton of potential plots to open up from that concept, but will R* ever do it? If they do, i agree with the majority of you that it should remain in the 80's.

Of course I sincerely hope that R* will let us return to a redesigned Vice City after GTA4. Unfortunately, for me the 80s aren't the 80s without tasteless pastel suits, which apparently were in fashion only during the mid 80s. Thus, in order to put the game in that period, we'd have to wade through familiar ground, or screw the old continuity and forget about Tommy. In any case, I'd lose.

Freestyle was very popular around '88 and '89, though.

Unless you consider Expose the ultimate Miami based freestlye girl group of all times, actually they had hits from their 1986 Exposure which is a solid five star album.

But we can't forget about Gloria Estefan and The Miami Sound Machine back then, too.
