Ramzy
I finished GTA 1, 2, 3, and San Andreas, but i never got around to Vice City. I picked it up a few days ago, but i've been experiencing a very annoying Audio Crackle issue in the PC version. Every mission cut Scene has a very weird audio crackle/jump error. The only thing that fixes this is enabling the frame limiter. Is there something wrong with my system, or is this something that just happens when there is no frame limiter? Justin
It's never happened to me, but then, I've always had the frame limiter on. Assuming your system is good enough (i.e. it runs fine with the limiter on), it's probably not a huge issue seeing as you can easily fix it. Ring_of_Fire
Usually setting the game back to Windows XP compatibility mode works. If both Win98/XP seems to be giving you problems, then update your sound card drivers as stated in the Bug Fix list. Another workaround is to adjust the Hardware Sound Acceleration level in "dxdiag". But that's just a dumb way to solve audio problems, updating sound drivers or getting a new sound card works like a charm.
